The Slime Lab Co. — Attraction in Oxford

The Vault venue was a perfect spacious place that allowed room for the vision my daughter and I had for her sweet 16 to come to life. From the start Gris was extremely friendly and accommodating. She worked around my schedule to allow me to see the place. And after the first place we were going to use didn't work out she jumped right in and made the exact date we needed happen. Communication all the way through was very reassuring in a hectic planning time, that felt like such a relief. Come time for the party she allowed me extra time the night before and an early start for preparation the day of. As it turned out I didn't have all the hands on deck for the prep/ party assembly originally planned on. When Gris and Joe came in just a couple hours before party time and saw me scrambling to finish every detail they immediately jumped in faster than they could say the words but the exact words were " What do you need.. tell us anything we can do". They helped me clean up and finish all the details. Joe even decorated the balcony with my florals for me😅 Gris ran around like super woman checking every detail so I could go home and get ready. The caterer forgot the water trays and Gris saved all the food from burning. As I was upstairs calming my daughters nerves before her big entrance I could see from the balcony window Gris fixing the cake for me, arranging drinks, fixing the snacks, candy table etc. She even made sure to grab picture moments I would have otherwise missed. Not to mention some how unseen grabbing a beautiful video of my daughter entering the dance floor like she was a proud family member. Words cannot even describe how about above and beyond Gris and Joe went for us. My daughter only turns 16 once and they definitely matched that energy with me. My daughter loved this place! We went for a birthday party the first time and she begged me to go back and do it on her own. The slime room was smaller and easier to manage at that time. Even my daughter said upon return that it was unorganized and messy. This is a 10 yr old. I purchased tickets online for her and a friend over her most recent spring break. Upon arrival I am then told as a parent I must pay $24 as an “observer”of my child as general admission to their museum. I wouldn’t mind maybe paying $5-$10 but $24 as an adult who has no intention on making a DIY slime for myself or touching said slime In the “museum”, I had no interest. I was not the only parent upset about this upon arrival either. It was not posted on their website or in their establishment. They stated it was a new change. I refused to pay and it was awarded although I don’t think I would return for that reason, even though they now dropped that observer price for general admission down to $19. The place was rundown, boxes everywhere, not safe for babies, not considered a museum by any means in my book and a rip off to parents. For years I have taken my child to sensory play activities and not paid as an observer of my child. They should uphold this same value or they may not last. Clean up your clutter everywhere, make it safer for children of all ages because you welcome children of all ages and consider a parent a observer for real with no admission charge applied or very little...

Run and I mean RUNNNN to book this experience. It was genuinely the best time ever. Came for a date night and both my partner and I agreed to come back and try some of the other fun things they offered such as the escape room. We booked a late slot but were met with a smile and the warmest welcome from the owner, Gris. She was extremely sweet and not annoyed for having to stay for just two people. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to explain the service we received. She took lots of pictures and videos and airdropped them all to me at the end of the night. I was really sad today because I couldn’t locate them in my phone. I messaged the business and received a reply within seconds. She sent me ALL the pics and videos and even asked me if they were good quality and if not she would resend them via email. 🥲 I live in Wallingford so even though it was a bit of a drive, it was 100% worth it. The pricing is more than fair for the fun that was had. The location is cool too, it’s an old bank. I am already planning to bring more people so they can experience this unique experience.
