Do NOT camp here if you care about sleep or safety. This is NOT a family friendly spot. Park services do not care and will NOT help even after multiple calls for help throughout the night.
Camping here was the worst experience I have every had. All night were were surrounded by running generators, (despite the noise ordinance...) loud profane music, but worst of all, multiple groups of people that were drunk racing full sized razors all over the beach. They had illegal fires and were yelling and playing music all night long.
We tried to talk to a few of the groups to quiet them down and stop the drunk driving so out kids could sleep but they only responded with profanity and threats.
After calling the authorities multiple times it was made clear that they did not care, rules are not enforce here, and we never saw a single ranger to stop the illegal activity.
If you are looking for a place to drink, drive, party all night long, and yell at anyone that tries to approach you, well this is your place apparently!
If you care about safety, sleep, or your children....do NOT spend the night here.
We will never be camping here again, there are much better family friendly campgrounds we would rather spend our money on. Do...
Read moreNice place to rest after hiking. It’s close to Lower Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Be careful with driving on sands.
(This isn't a review of this place, but I'm writing this to say thanks to them.) My CRV got stuck while driving back from the sandy shore. The more I tried to move the car, the deeper it dug into the sand and I panicked. 6~9 young men who looked like high schoolers were playing near me. Even before I tried to look around to get some help, they came up to me, pushed my car down to the shore, and recommended taking another way that covered more gravel. I had only a short chance to ask them where they were from. They were angels from “Panguitch, UT” In that brief moment, how impressive their judgment, leadership, and collaboration were! They made our trip to this beach one of the most appreciated and memorable moments. Best...
Read moreYou must go down the road on the right. If your car is not high enough, it will probably get stuck. My car got stuck, and an old man helped us tow the car and asked for a tip. We gave him 40. There are toilets and open-air showers at the top of the road on the right, as well as picnic tables and chairs. It was very windy all day long, which I didn't like. I was almost dried out. The water wasn't very clear either, and there was mud at the bottom, which easily got your shoes stuck. This is a national park. You can enter with a national park pass. The fee without a pass seems to be 30。I don't like it here. It's too sunny. There are no trees, no shade, and the wind is very strong during the day. People will be dried out. It's only suitable for taking pictures, not for staying for a long time. If you like dry and windy weather, then...
