If you like Korea, and if you like karaoke lounges, this is the best one in all of Palisades Park, and all the contenders are merely runners up competitors.
The owner is probably one of the youngest 노래방 runners I’ve ever met; yet, he manages to keep this place running smoothly, which is quite impressive.
Did I mention their food menu is just as delicious? A customer today who I became friends with offered me a mochi off the menu, and it was so pillowy and delicious!! I’m not even a Mochi person but homeboy said he would give it to me for free just so I can see how I was missing out. He wasn’t wrong at all!! He was Dominican and we agreed it tasted like that Colombian snack called “buñelo.” Folks, Ssum Cafe & NRB is truly a treat. Please check it out when you are ever in this former 당구장; I promise it’s worth it ♥️
Also, Isaiah, I’ve been a regular here the last 4 months of my life during my time as a Palisades Park resident. I did not appreciate being accused of stealing a soda when the boss and I very much have mutual respect for each other as fellow entrepreneurs. But I can understand you misunderstanding, which is what I am hoping is the case. Happy holidays to everyone at the staff!! Still my favorite place in town to wind down and work away from home with the wifi. I will...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting with my friends tonight for my birthday party. Not only was the staff super friendly and extremely helpful, but my friends and I had a night to remember. The café was clean and the food looked and tasted amazing. As far as the karaoke room went, the space was clean and they had a HUGE selection of music (something I don't see enough reviews talking about because that was a HUGE reason my friends had a great time.) All of my friends and I all had no problem finding music we wanted to sing the staff made it so easy to understand how to setup. I am ABSOLUTELY coming back whenever I get the chance. The prices are fair, the food and drinks are fantastic and this staff is so helpful and friendly. Thank you again Cafe SSUM for a night...
Read moreThis is my second time coming to this place. When I went the first time, I remember haveing payed $20 per hour for a room with two people. This time, well the people were nice, the Nutella croffle downgraded from the first time I had it. And I also went with two other friends beside my partner. We ended up paying over $145 for a little over two hours. We saw they charged $40 an hour now. And on top of that, they considered a party of 4 a “large party” so there was like a 18% surcharge on top of charging the per hour. That’s not even counting what we paid separately for food and drinks. The people are nice and all but it was just the pricing that caught me and my partner...
