Desert Falls Country Club — Attraction in Palm Desert

This is a decent course and a great value in the desert. If you're used to the CC experience don't let the name of the course fool you, this is not it. To me 50% of the course felt like resort golf (open / easy) and 50% were good solid golf holes. They keep the place in good shape, greens were a little slow but true. My frustration was that I walked and was pushing the holiday golfers in front of me, some really slow play plus the course has little to no yardage markers if you are not on the cart path.. don't look for sprinkler head info it's not there so I downloaded a GPS app while on the course. Made the turn at 3:00, not a single place to grab a soda, beer etc.. no cart service at all. If you want beverages bring your own. I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT have a special event here. The staff lies, is rude and they will charge your credit card for things that you did not agree to. The event coordinator, Martha, did a terrible job at coordinating the wedding that we had. She was so nice and helpful right up to the day of the event. She didn't show up to the rehearsal and then hid in her office the day of the wedding. Illiana tried to take over, however, she had no idea what she was doing. There was no speaker for music or for the officiant at the wedding ceremony site. They ran out of appetizers and drinks at the cocktail hour, they forgot about the wedding cake and the list goes on. This place is an absolute disaster!!! It has such an inviting layout, but Clubcorp has just ruined this place!!! The grass is so bad everywhere you turn, the greens are bumpy and hard as a rock, and the sand traps have no sand in them! The carts are beyond old and are so out of date! Even if your ball hits the fairway, the grass is so bad that your ball can get scuffed in the middle of the fairway! It’s so sad to see how this place has fallen downhill! You can tell it was once a very nice track, but now that clubcorp owns it, you can tell they don’t care about it and even the people working there don’t care about the place!!
