Right now this is a beautiful place to hike your dogs, go for a walk, ride your bike or just have a peaceful afternoon. There are lots of hiking trails and plenty of wildlife habitat to look at. Lots of Little Critters running around. A perfect place to take the dogs. Unfortunately, there are plans to dredge the whole thing and pull all of the nature out. This is planned to start in November. Please help support keeping this beautiful nature as it is. We don't want to lose our trails and wildlife habitat. Keep this place a five-star. It will become an ugly, open, flat dessert (one-star) if they go forward with the dredge plans.

I was super impressed by the clean bathroom!! There was even nice toilet paper and soap. It was great for a park bathroom! My husband took me here and this place was really nice. They have frisbee goalees (not sure the name of it), lots of unique ground squirrels, and lizards crawling everywhere and on the trees! The hiking path is nice and leads to a great view of JPL and a small lake (from the recent rains)! There are nice bridges and a dam. We had a good time reading under the trees in the shade.

Fun park teeming with wildlife while still being close to the city. We were lucky to visit on a day where there were hundreds of juvenile toads hopping around which was a very exciting sight. If you want to hike I would recommend locating one of the trailheads on the map as we unknowingly hiked around the disc golf course while dodging frisbees. Horse stables are located nearby and you may even get to see people riding their horses around the wider trails.

I went on a Thursday to the nursery and to walk around in different areas. The picnic area / disc golf area is sooo nice and peaceful. I'm not a disc golf player so I don't know if the course is wonderful because of the abundance of trees, many of them with lower branches, but it definitely wasn't busy, which was a nice change. The nursery was AMAZING. There were so many plants and they all looked very well taken care of. There were sages and buckwheats and manzanitas and so many more. The nursery staff were very knowledgeable and helped us find our favorite plants. Aside from the picnic area and the nursery, we even hit the other side of th park to walk the dry river bed and the creek in millard canyon. Very fun. The dry riverbed area had lots of people walking and trail running. Not the most scenic, but it reminded me of my home in the desert, so it was appreciated by me, maybe not by most. And Millard canyon was insanely prettyy. There was a bit of water flowing through, probably 5 cubic feet / second - nothing insanely big. It was shallow, slow, and gentle so it would be easy for a toddler to wade in if they so wished. The footpaths there are clearly used often and are well defined by their lack of plant growth on the ground. There IS poison oak in Millard canyon as well as datura (a nightshade) and possibly tree tobacco - all of which are toxic to humans. The tree tobacco was also found in other areas of the park, mainly the dried up riverbed area. Anyway, it was...
