Absolutely the best game store around, excellent selection of various games, from video games, to card games, to role playing games, collectible toys and figures, etc. very clean and super friendly environment, you feel like your best friends opened up a shop and want you there to bring some good vibes and game time. The best in person trade in offers (without the risk of delays or lost shipped item, etc) and for that I usually would give them first look at my own collection I wished to trade or cash in hands down. I may have to say they have even beat the low ball online competition by far, when you consider all the fees, wait and aggravation of not knowing what you get and end up paying fees most don't know about if you choose to sell. If they don't have something in stock, they can order it and hold it for you, which while many think to do themselves on the internet, I can say it does do away with those times I have an issue on ebay, amazon, or other sites, not fun. I cold go on, and on, just do yourself a favor and visit and talk to Em, and get to know, its worth the trip, (even if you know other places are closer) and if you're like me, gamer and collector, you will be glad you did and be back. There is something to be said about 'customer and store relationship' that shares a great consumer loyalty, respect and the fun that is going to a game store to meet those with similar interest and you know are gamers themselves, not just business as usual guy. This is missing from so many places, and you will definitely not find at some Walmart or Target or concern of item tampering. To Em and all at level 1 games, thank you for everything! You're guys are...
Read moreI travel a lot for work, and one thing I do to kill the time after hours is find a game store in the area. In terms of out of town stores, this one is one of the best for me and certainly blows my local store out of the water in terms of products. They have a ton of sealed Magic the Gathering products, more specifically a lot of things you don't see a lot. Not just the usual 5 boxes of Aetherdrift and not much else, there are some older boosters and a lot of things like Commander precons and starter decks I just don't expect a store to be carrying.
The two staff members working when I came in were great too. I came in pretty close to their closing time but they were happy to let me dig through their bulk common boxes for one random card that happened to cross my mind. When I couldn't find it and brought up the card, one of them instantly grabbed a box and was able to find the card I was looking for in seconds. Again, this wasn't some format staple or well known card, just a random common-rarity sorcery from a 10+ year old set and he was able to find it for me.
All in all, it's what I love to see about a store. No pressure while you're in but also no feeling of being an outsider which I feel can happen all too easily when you're a stranger in a store where a lot of the customers and staff know each other and have a rapport. I'd recommend this store over any others...
Read moreI arrived on a hot summer afternoon. The outside had great signage and drew me in. First thing that came to mind was how excellent, cool and clean the air quality was. And it wasn't just because it was 100 Degrees outside, it FELT clean in the store. Which is usually uncharacteristic of retro game stores. This store not only had an excellent selection of video games, from retro to modern, they also had a wonderful assortment of TCG from Magic the gathering to Pokemon. They even had high quality figurines! My favorite part about the store was that they had multiple of these really interesting conveyor belt machines for visitors to scroll through the TCG! This store had an excellent quality and interesting quantity of games, systems, toys, figurines and more! This store was advertised to me as a gaming store, but it was actually QUITE a little bit more than that. Perfectly clean store, kind and courteous staff; 10/10 will come back again whenever I'm passing...
