Get your stuff together! Just because you team little mascot Miggler is on a side don't give them the benefit. Examples below(Miggler was on Red team. Our group blue).
First off the games started super late! We waited for the first game to start for almost 30 mins. They were still setting up the game. How about you get everything ready before the game starts.
The first game- Red team had 25 extra people on their side.(They were still getting safety checked so they just joined the red team) The teams were super unbalanced! Then the red team started the game before the blue team was even given the go.
The red team was almost at our spawn by the time we set off. This ref on our side was mad but couldn't do anything about it.
Now, our team(blue)was fed up with the game and we were asking the refs to just end the game. We can totally see we were out numbered so we were behind spawn just all sitting there with death rags in our hands. The opposing team was still shooting at us. Pretty much our team walked off the field.
We started so late they told us that after the first game we would go to lunch. We then we went to lunch because we were told that. When we got back people were playing a game. Alot of people didn't play because they thought the same thing not just our group. Maybe a third of the people were not playing because they thought it was lunch.
3rd game- They finally got the teams sorted out. BUT the miggler side was given unlimited re-spawns(attacking) and our side was given 2 re-spawns(defending). Yeah, that ended quickly.
4th game- Now blue team was attacking. Both sides had only 1 re-spawn. Yup... Not the same rules as last time. Shocking! Also, we were told that the enemy team cant come from one side by one of the refs. So, we thought that was the case. We were wrong the other ref said no its fine. We got all destroyed because the refs can't talk to each other and get the rules straight.
5th game- Was okay. Expect for the ref not telling someone they are not calling their hits. I was hit out by someone and I was walking to the side lines. I saw 2 bb's bounce off the guy and the ref saw that. When I asked why he didn't tell him he is out he said... "We can't call on everything".. YES YOU CAN IDIOT! ITS YOUR JOB!...
I don't usually complain but this day was horrible. They need to get the refs on the same page. The rules need to be written down and all the refs should follow those rules. Also, how about investing in a air horn to start the games? Then both teams can start at the same time. Don't give you little mascot the advantage.
Also, split the kids up. If you see 20 little kids on one team make them split. The blue side had all the kids compared to the all the adults on the other side.
I been playing for a while and been to alot of fields in California and traveled to other states just for airsoft. I don't complain but this time...
Read moreWent in on mother's day as well it was my birthday , for my first time . I had a blast to be honest! The staff was great ! Sam in the front counter was very nice. There was a good amount of players and most where very kind and you can get along with. The food was very great from the Mexican cuisine I really enjoyed the steak burrito ! And fairly priced! Some players wouldn't call their shots but I guess it's normal in this type of sport. The players with modified weapons definitely made my experience a little unwelcoming since it was my first time . Instead of yelling bang bang I'm getting hammered from 5-10 ft with an overpowered weapon that hurts like heck. It didn't ruin my experience but I wasn't happy about it . I feel like it takes away from the experience. (So watch out for that) Another thing would be the flag placement for terminus and district 9 at least I know in district 9 the flag is way to close to one of the spawns and it's super easy for them to get the flag I believe it should be centered more in the mid alley where all the cross-fire is going on to make it even and fair. On terminus I think it should be place a bit more to the right. And one more thing would be spawning issues . On the map next to junkyard with the RV s there was definitely a spawn issue and as a inexperienced player you could be easily confused as to where it is . A way to fix this problem be to add orange or black netting to easily identify the spawn . There was a moment where we couldn't even get out . Even though the refs made it clear not to shoot into spawn as the game went on ,during the game they didn't say or do anything some of the players had to yell at the enemy team to let us out and they did after that. The refs did try to fix it by moving the spawn the next round . But the same problem existed since it's not easily identifiable. One last thing : 2 of my friends buddies rented out some guns and they both jammed during gameplay.
(And I could only hope for more objective style games I had more fun with playing an objective than straight death match personally, the objective modes where my favorite! )
If the owner is reading this I could only suggest one thing to be directed to the players with the air intakes , to yell bang bang if within 5-10 ft as it is very dangerous. When I got hit in the neck and side my whole body tensed up and I was in alot of pain. But I didn't quit. Please 🙏,
Pros: Great arena ! great staff, Battery charging station! great food , fairly priced gear and rental gear . Only two refs that day but very kind and respectful , especially directing the play style on dos and donts for the noobs on the field and overall safety
Cons: modified air weapons, Hardly any bang bang callouts Flag placements (D-9)(terminus) Spawning issues (map with Rvs) black hawk down I believe . Cheaters...

I really like the way the games are setup and run. Instead of being hit once, and having to sit out the rest of the game, you are able to respawn and get back into the action. This is great as it really means you are going to get a TON of play time in. By the end of the day, you'll get in so much game time you'll feel like you can't even shoulder your replica!
The games are also not just a simple death-match, instead there is always an objective which helps keep the field dynamic and moving. Refs and staff are spread out around the field during the games which means they are always right there to provide you with information, keep an eye on the game, help "dead" players move safely back to spawn, etc etc.
There was a nice mix of speed softers, milsimers, rentals, and new players. Overall great vibes, no drama just good clean fun.
While off of the field there is a gigantic military tent that everyone can easily take shelter under which is a great way to avoid the sun. Next to that, there is a water-misting structure.
That doesn't even take into account the awesome food and drink! Burritos, nachos, snocones, agua fresca, iced coffees, gatorades, waters, etc etc they really have it all when it comes to refreshments. Typically I pack all of my own food and drink as you never know what underwhelming options will be available to you during the day, but that is something you will definitely not need to worry about here.
The proshop is well stocked and I found they carried a much wider variety of items than other fields.
All of the staff and refs were knowledgeable, friendly and kept the games running like a well oiled machine. Spoke with the owner after the day was done and had a great chat about the history of the park and its evolution over the years.
Overall very impressed with the operation and would HIGHLY suggest checking out Code Red.
If you are a new player, or someone who is thinking of renting for the first time THIS IS the field to try!!! When I moved to California in 2018 I tried walk-ons at a very popular field and was discouraged from returning due to unsportsmanlike behavior (The understatement of the century). I wish I had come to Code Red instead, as the players and overall feeling was incredibly welcoming and friendly. As above, no drama, no issues, just good times.
A MUST for anyone looking to play airsoft in...
