Altadena Park offers a sweet park for your littles and bigger kiddos nestled inside a ring of tall trees that offer great shade for these 🥵 summer days. The splash pad sits in the center with a proper playground area in the same area for the kiddos to run around and cool off in the splash pad. The trees offer great shade for a book or picnic with the kiddos. It’s not the biggest park but offers a lot in a small package.

No bathrooms on site, so make sure the kids go before you stop, theres a bashas and frys real close. And I totally get why there aren't, in fact other than one ramada there aren't any buildings to obstruct your view of beautiful tall old trees and the lovely shade that they cast. Honestly a healthy amount of parking on 3 sides, just suck them tires in to the curb as the residents would like to get home. Play ground has a diverse sprawl and the splash pad water temp is surprisingly chilly. I thoroughly enjoy the lack of utilities and also the lack of vagabond moochers looking for a free nap spot. There are garbage cans. Use them, otherwise you're no better than those folks you love to turn your nose up at. The bridge should be named Pinch Point Pass, teach your kids where not to stick...

This has been a wonderful park for the 10 years we've been privileged to use it. Plenty of shade, picnic tables and very peaceful. The water park is a major bonus. It's a game changer for summer time fun for the kids. Without it, it wouldn't be the same. As for comments about no bathrooms. Be thankful there aren't. If you want homeless and disrespectful people to have a reason to urinate and deficate at your park thereby leaving a lasting smell, add a bathroom. Most of those comments clearly come from people who don't live in the neighborhood and haven't thought about the repercussions of having a bathroom at a park. Just about every park bathroom I've ever been in has been disgusting. So just be prepared when coming to Altadena park for that and be thankful...

There are absolutely NO bathrooms. So make sure your kiddos have gone a couple times before you head out to this place. I'd avoid drinks while your there to make sure you get as much play time as possible. There are several tables and LOTS of full coverage shade. Play in the water, then play on the playground equipment while you're wet, then get wetter, then eat lunch in the shade while you're wet and cool, then get wetter, and play on the playground one more time, before you flat out Sprint to the car to speed off to the closest clean bathroom. Maybe not so much...., if you have a tribe of boys.......cause they probably just peed...
