Scorpion Gulch is located at the beautiful South Mountains park in South Phoenix. . Scorpion Gulch are very historic structures that are at the entrance to South Mountains park. They have been nestled in the park for many, many years. A photographer 's dream for picturesque photograph's as well as background landscapes. I have noticed on many occasions small wedding ceremonies and other events are held there . Scorpion Gulch is quite educational for everyone to admire and respect it's beauty and history that is provided for you and your family. The. Citizens of Arizona are quite fortunate to to possess such historic structures and history that hopefully will be around for generations to come. For a day of exploring and becoming educated and knowledgeable with the historic sites in your own back yard , I highly recommend Scorpion Gulch located at South Mountains park in South Phoenix for the entire family. ...

We went there when we were on our way to Dobbins lookout. It’s a good place to hangout and watch sunsets. It’s a very small hike to the peaks of small mountains. You can simply sit there and watch the city lights. During the sunset, the city lights are superb to watch. Just in case you want to stay away from the crowd or don’t feel like driving up to the Dobbins, this is a good place to halt and enjoy. Also, there are some good spots to click pictures here..you should definitely stop by and take some good clips. This place is easily accessible from the city roads and has some decent car park space available. You don’t really need any reservation to visit this place and it’s before you enter for the...

I have loved this place since I first saw it about 25 years ago. Being from out of state it was very first ghost townish experience out West for me. Love how you can park, walk around and take some pictures. Looked up the history of this place on the Internet and found some very interesting facts. My next project will be to find some historic pictures of this site. I suggest that you come visit as there are many other attractions in South Mountain Park to see in the same area. Bring your hiking shoes and water for this park...

Old historic trading post. Really cool to go back in time and walk around in this place. Humbling to see what was built, and how folks lived. Take the time to walk around. There’s evidence of old water lines, a beautiful fireplace, small castle tower, and so much more. Highly worth stopping; we are sure glad we did! There’s an old ranger station nearby too with an incredible boulder worth seeing too!!!
