We went there when we were on our way to Dobbins lookout. It’s a good place to hangout and watch sunsets. It’s a very small hike to the peaks of small mountains. You can simply sit there and watch the city lights. During the sunset, the city lights are superb to watch. Just in case you want to stay away from the crowd or don’t feel like driving up to the Dobbins, this is a good place to halt and enjoy. Also, there are some good spots to click pictures here..you should definitely stop by and take some good clips. I have loved this place since I first saw it about 25 years ago. Being from out of state it was very first ghost townish experience out West for me. Love how you can park, walk around and take some pictures. Looked up the history of this place on the Internet and found some very interesting facts. My next project will be to find some historic pictures of this site. I suggest that you come visit as there are many other attractions in South Mountain Park to see in the same area.
