Would go back again. Stayed at Table Rock for a 3 day camping trip in mid-July. We arrived after hours and the gates were locked(expected), but the west gate would not open with the correct combo(apparently rusted shut). The campsite manager called the ranger and they came out pretty quickly to open the gate for us, letting us in. If you're doing an after hours check-in, I recommend trying to get the campsite manager's number before heading over just in case. During our stay it rained at some point every day but we were able to complete the Table Rock Trail hike in about 6 and half hours with 2 big dogs and a 13 y/o, without anyone slipping or falling. Wouldn't recommend the harder trails for small dogs as there are many tall step-ups and you may end up carrying them. Facilities were always clean and trash bins are not far from the campsites. The general store by the RV/tent campground has some essentials you might have forgot to bring....
Read moreWe visited Table Rock State Park for the first time ever one week, hiking and enjoying the quiet beauty, and the following week we returned to stay 4 days, renting Cabin 5. The cabins were built by the CCC in 1938, are rustically very attractive and located within walking distance to everything there is to do in the park. The state park cabin rental system is the best value going. Cabin 5 had a great view of Table Rock, it was very home-like, clean, equipped with nearly everything we needed. We loved our time there, hiking, swimming, grilling, reading, and taking day trips to nearby Sassafras Mountain and Hagood Mill. We will return to Cabin...

Still got to see small waterfalls and scope out the campsites for campers and tents. Went to the visitor center and the ladies in both buildings were very nice and patient. We plan on coming back on a day with better weather and do the hike up...
