Johnson Park — Attraction in Piscataway Township

There is no longer an animal park or feeding zoo. Due to protest by folks who have nothing better to do I have lost a part of my childhood and in turn a moment to share with my children. I was lucky enough to have the first two children, of seven, get a chance to visit when everything was in tip top shape. When they had working bathrooms instead of portapotty, when you were able to buy feed to feed the wide array of livestock instead of empty cages, when you were able to purchase a hot dog, drink or frozen treat for the family enjoying a day out at the park to ABSOLUTELY providing nothing for the surrounding public and community. Johnson Park is a nice destination for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. With its expansive grounds, separate jogging and running tracks, tennis courts, and dedicated kids' playing area, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The park's picturesque location near the river enhances its charm, while the well-maintained landscaping adds to the ambiance. Biiiggg park. Big fields. Some local soccer tournaments held here. Has a tennis court. Lots of parking spaces. Has restrooms. Can have a party in groves. Groves are locations with tables, benches and barbecue grills. Some groves require payment and reservations. Some are first come first reserve basis. With this park, one can enjoy hiking, running and biking. Some water reservoirs in the area that are fed by the Raritan river (?) especially when it's high tide. There decks on these reservoirs.
