This park is well kept for the most part. There's basketball, baseball dugouts, a tennis court, a volleyball court (sand is clean), 2 small jungle-gyms suitable for 2+yr olds, a covered area with picnic tables, a recessed and fenced area for dogs, small and large dogs are segregated.
Parking is decent and within vision from anywhere except for the dog area, as it's deeply recessed. The parking in the main front lot can quickly get full though.
There is a concrete pathway that spans the perimeter of the park, the far edges of which have a tall fence between the street and the pathway.
The pathway that leads to the dog area can be very slick when there is dirt and sand on the concrete.

Read moreOver the past year the pet parks have deteriorated due to lack of maintenance. The park in general is always trashy. Also more unstable people are showing up. I was attacked last Sunday by a crazy woman. The police were not interested in hearing about the situation and blew me off because she told them I was the crazy one. They let her go after I got back my phone she had stolen from me. I guess young police men believe young women instead of a 72 yr old just trying to walk his dog. This is nothing more than public ageism by the Pittsburg police. So basically you have no protection at this park....

Ball yard, huge field, beach volleyball pit, tennis court, basketball court, children's playground, 1/3-mile run/walk loop, massive dog park, large picnic gazebo, bbq pits, plus the greatest community in the CCC make this park a fun place to go for people of all ages and interests. I've been going to this park almost daily for the last few years and have never witnessed any violence or mischievous behavior at this park. All you ever see are happy people...
