Drake Field — Attraction in Pittsfield

Most of the Google Maps reviews are about the Suncook Rotary Hot 🔥 Air Balloon 🎈 Festival 🎎. I found it very interesting because this is the first 🥇 time I have seen so many hot air balloons at once! I watched a few skim off the Suncook river. The fair had rides, food, vendors and fireworks 🎇🎆. During the festival, the parking 🅿️ lot for the field is closed. You may find a spot along the street or at the $10 parking areas. Bring cash and download the Venmo app. Most of the vendors accept these and those who accept cards could have the WiFi cut out. Drake field is technically the sports field for Pittsfield high School. But I found that they have this little walking path through the trees that walks along the river. There are a couple of benches to just sit and relax. It looks like I found myself another place in Pittsfield that I can go walking when I can't get out hiking. There's a new playground closer to Barnstead Road, and then a smaller playground further in the park. The park is very clean. Nice park, lots of place to run around or play sports, boat dock and fishing dock, nice trail around the park and by the water,, new playground only downfall is there are no baby swings and the swings they do have are very high so little kids can't use them.
