Springside Park — Attraction in Pittsfield

Springside Park—a hidden gem veiled in the mundane, as if Yggdrasil itself, sans cosmic-grandeur, chose to root in the unassuming soil of Pittsfield. My dog and I wandered through these beginner/intermediate level trails, where they offer both sanctuary and enigma. Discarded camping gear and forsaken relics lie like cast runes, each a silent stanza in a skald's forgotten hymn.

These woods, pulsing with a Loki-esque aura of anarchic melancholy, is more than it appears—a sanctuary concealed in plain sight, as elusive yet palpable as Odin's wisdom. Here, the seeker and the lost alike find their footprints mingling on the same path, each step a meditation on life's duality.

Here you can find our local homeless housing...called "tent city ⛺️🏕... there is this old rock right off the main trail and it's shaped like a seat that you can sit in and look out over the little pond . It's pretty cool. And then deep in the trails there is a abandoned reservoir or at least it was there when I was a kid. I remember riding the trails from the little league field on springtime Ave up to the softball field...

Great place to bring your kids. Didn't see that many people here but my visit was around 4:30pm on a weekday. Kids really enjoyed the swings (which have new safety features that I really appreciated) and slides. They have a wider selection of playground activities than most local parks.
