Was treated like I didn't belong there: long rude stares at our clothing, no greeting, no acknowledgment until absolutely necessary, no patience for questions, and then putting our drinks out of reach instead of handing them to us with eye contact like normal people. Since the only difference between me and my friend and the other patrons already happily and charmingly being serviced was that we are bigger, it felt very obvious fat people aren't welcome. (They only other difference is that we were not lily white, but I choose to hope they aren't also racists.) Lose the dirty looks, rude attitudes, let people ask questions, and make customers feel welcome and not like they are not worthy of your products. How could you treat anyone like this, let alone customers? Worst thing is the smoothie was actually very yummy, but I'll never go back and make sure I spread word of treatment we received there. I got the Power Bowl, which has a protein acai base, banana, and then a bunch of other stuff that I usually don't get like seed butter, bee pollen, and other stuff (see the menu for all the deets). I was glad to try it and it kept me full a lot longer than I expected.

The service was fast and friendly. The acai bases are premade, and its quick for the staff to add toppings. Smoothies take a bit longer.

There were a few tables inside and some dedicated parking outside, which was nice.

I wish they had an option for an unflavored protein base. I am not a huge fan of vanilla protein.

One small thing. The top to the garbage can could barely fit the acai bowl. I had to fiddle with it to get the bowl to go down. Not sure if this was user error, but I don't like fiddling with garbage lids. Maybe a round opening top on the lid where people can easily throw their bowls away without touching the lid...

4/12/2024 - update: after traveling the east coast, from Mass to Florida, I have not found acia bowls that come close to how f’ing amazing these taste. They are THE BEST BOWLS ON THE EAST COAST!

I've been a loyal customer at The Spot since they first opened, and my visits have been a delightful experience. As someone with a restricted diet, it's a real treat to be able to enjoy their delicious bowls a couple of times a month, especially when I can customize them with the toppings I can eat.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who exudes the passion and determination of a successful entrepreneur. Their dedication to providing quality service has always impressed me.
