My sister won Complimentary tickets from from our local radio station "LOWRIDING WITH JJ". Went on a Thursday night in a group of 4. Wasn't a busy time at all. There are 4 different haunted houses. The wait in line was great. Very quick moving lines. Pregame before you go because no alcohol in the park. Oh and be prepared to be searched at the entrance. Metal detector used. I really love being scared. The pirates of emerson scare park is not for children, older or weaker people. The dude running through the maze with a chainsaw was really what got my sister & i running for our life. All the fumes from the chainsaw made my sister feel life she couldn't breathe. That was really annoying. I'm not sure if that was supposed to make us feel dizzy. Because it did. If your looking for a healthy family scare park, don't go. Between the smoke machines all throughout the park (constantly blowing smoke) and the gas fumes from the dude chasing you , fresh air is out of the question. If we had paid for the entry I would have been mad. But we didn't so we...
Read moreI don’t think I’ve ever written a google review, but felt the need to after going to Pirates of Emerson for the first time last night. I absolutely loved it. **Make sure to buy either the speed pass or VIP Pass online. The general admission lines were long, however, I purchased the VIP Pass for $125 and it allowed me to get into each haunted house immediately, along with unlined re-entries. The atmosphere was incredible (very 90s Halloween Harvest style). The houses were genuinely scary, and they did an amazing job with the pacing, so whenever my group went in, there were little to no additional people next to us while going through, which makes it way scarier. The haunted house designs were beautiful and extremely immersive. 10/10 recommend going this year, but seriously, do yourself a favor and buy either the speed pass or VIP Pass, as it will save you hours of time spent in lines. They even have a specialized house only for those with the VIP pass. I had such an...
Read moreIf you're looking for a scary, screaming and running in fear type of place... This is not it. I had the pleasure of exploring 5 haunted houses and I only got scared once. There are people hiding behind corners in each building and they say random things and sometimes follow you. Some of the animatronics look pretty real and the lights and fog made it very hard to see. Making the ground at times feel unstable. But I wasn't terrified at all. There were only two taco trucks available serving Brazilian style sandwiches and Columbian food. We tried both and weren't impressed. The live music and entertainment was a little odd to say the least. Girls dancing with umbrellas and another set of girls dancing in fairy wings. There was also a rock band performance. I can understand why it's not kid friendly but if you have older kids probably 10 and up I think they would be scared and if they're into that stuff they might enjoy going there.
This is coming from a person who...
