I've been here 2 different times a few times in the last few years and I was never told to buy tickets ahead of time. I had family come down from Erie to go snowboarding and walk up tickets were sold out. No where on their site does it suggest to buy online as they have a limited amount of tickets. It says full now (didn't qhen I checked a few days ago) when I go to the link but does not say they only have 50 tickets for walk ups... and once gone, they are gone. This should be on the site as it would have saved time and gas for a family of 6 coming to visit. I loved this place in the past since it's smaller and I could help teach my kids how to ski or board and they wouldn't be intimidated. I am upset that we aren't able to enjoy a day in the snow because this was not specified online. So anyone wanting to go, make sure to buy ahead of time, like WAY ahead of time online or you won't be able to tube,...
Read moreI wanted to take my boys snow tubing. I looked up the hrs, got us in gear and was about to head out, then I had an epiphany and thought I better call first for some info. The girl that answered the phone was nice, but sounded like having a root canal would be more interesting than assisting me. She kept on directing me to the online platform which must've been set up by someone who'd recently been lobotomized. Every tubing session was booked for the next 50 yrs. I'm sure it could be a fun experience if you lived 30 seconds away, or face the fact that by the time one would be able to book a lesson, there's a good chance they'll be on their deathbed. Just so typical of society today; so many whiners, ppl scared of their own shadows and ppl less than disinterested in helping prospective patrons out. Can't even take loved ones out for a spontaneous day of fun. So...
Read moreOMG!! Please don't tell anyone else about this awesome place. Too many people will ruin the experience. Compared to any other ski area I've been to (including Aspen, Vail, Utah, etc.), this place is great: so close to Pittsburgh (only 40 minutes from the North Hills), so convenient with parking (one minute walk to the lodge), so inexpensive (only $20 for lift ticket and $20 for ski or snowboard rental), and NO LINES! Let me repeat: NO LINES anywhere, for anything. I walked straight up and bought my ticket, got my rental equipment without a line, got on the ski lift without a line. This place is a DREAM! (And remember - don't tell...
