Point Mugu Beach — Attraction in Port Hueneme

@castateparks It’s very difficult to enjoy this beautiful hidden gem after being issued a $71 parking ticket violation while I was unloading my belongings. Five minutes had not passed when I returned to my car to pay for the ticket and saw the park ranger hastily writing a ticket. The ranger was not done writing the ticket when I pleaded with her to stop and give me a moment to pay for the ticket but she refused and said she was “finishing it”. Worse, I had to drive ten miles to get bottled water for my group since there was no running water. I coordinate group events all the time and this would have been a great place for private events. Not anymore, I’m never bringing my friends to #pointmugu after such poor treatment and disrespect! #disappointed #dobetter...

I love this beach, it hasn't been overcrowded the times I have gone. Mountains are behind the beach, which makes it feel secluded compared to other beaches. Paid parking but it is well worth the price.

My only gripe with this beach is the bathroom situation. Three portable toilets that stink and are dirty. No hand sanitizer or anywhere to...

One of my favorites. There are many beautiful beaches in LA. But point Mugu is one the combine beauty, silence, and wildlife. You can park inside between 8 am and sunset.
