I've never reviewed anything before, but I felt I needed to say something about this beach. It's a nice beach and all, but if you visit in the middle of August just after sunrise and play in the loose sand area just after the entrance, you will be swarmed with little black bugs that bite mainly your lower extremities. If you sit, you will be bitten all over. Not sure what kind if bugs they are. Not sure if it was the time of day, the location on the beach, or the season, or if this is common to beaches around here, or a different factor, but I've never experienced something like this in other beaches (not in FL) before. My kids were left with red bite marks all over...

Love this beach because it is quiet and out of the way of the crazy busy Daytona Beach. There are not many people usually there so you can really space out away from everyone else. Wilbur beach doesn't have rental services for beach chairs etc. There are no lifeguards in most of the areas. There are less hotels and condos and mostly homes along this part, so it makes a very pretty stretch to take a nice long walk. I definitely recommend this beach just remember to take everything that you will need and take your trash...

My aunt and uncle have lived here for 30+ yrs. I grew up coming to this beach on spring and summer breaks. I would wake up some mornings and have to walk 200-300 yards just to get to the water. The beach isn't that wide anymore (pick your reason) but it's still a wonderful beach to go to. It's far enough away from the strip that you don't get bothered too much, yet it's still clearly beautiful Atlantic coast. Its also maybe 5 minutes from...

It looked like a good point, we usually go to Ponce Inlet, the ocean had a beautiful color and not too strong current. We found parking easily and was also not crowded. However, right about 6pm I did see a shark fin on a wave what prompted us to get the kids out of the water. A few minutes later from shore I saw another one, but could see the whole body that time.

Definitely not a bad spot to be on the Atlantic side of Florida and WAY better vibe than Dayton Beach. I was also amused by a Karen who thought she owned the beach. If anyone knows her, please ask her to relax inside her tiny house, she isn't Baywatch, Coast Guard or even a lifeguard.

A must stop even if I'm not staying the night in town. A quick hour to breathe the glorious salt air. "Come Away With Me" the ocean plays for me ❤ I love this little beach. Incredible pictures. Always so clean. Never crowded. I never want to leave, it's my favorite place to be.
