A marshfront boardwalk and observation tower overlooking the confluence of Battery Creek, Beaufort River, and Port Royal Sound. There is a nice view of Parris Island across the river and marsh. Many people fish and cast for shrimp off the boardwalk but they aren't plentiful in this area; however you may have good luck chicken necking for blue Crabs in the summer and fall. This was built on an old dredge spoil area and if you look along the waters edge you may find some sharks teeth. There is also a public boat ramp here and many locals use the area...

And if u do manage to find a park on the side of the road, u will need to find the pay station connected to where u are parked or get ready to pay a nice parking ticket. You get to meet so many people and animals walking back and forth to the wooden observation tower.
