June 10/2024 Update to review below: I got a call from the shop this morning and the representative apologised and offered a touch up or free cut in the future. He was very nice, accommodating and said the shop is happy to make sure a chat is happy with their cut and would adjust beyond 7 days if necessary. Completely cool of them to call and repair the negative feedback experience I had a couple days before. Very honourable and professional service. Thankyou Bishops. I’ll be back :)

Got my hair trimmed here last week for $34 and I gave a $5 tip to my stylist. Took him all of 10 minutes for a trim. He said he could adjust if need be. Went on a camping trip the next day but felt like the top needed a bit more off. It’s 7 days later and I called to see if they could take another 1/4 inch off just the top. The guy who answered the phone said it’s company policy to make adjustments within 7 days and I mentioned it was a week ago. He said it looks like I am out of the 7 day period so they would have to charge me another $34 for that touch up. I mentioned that I think I am still within the period of time allowed and he said something about company policy and got super snooty with me. I will never go back to this shop and am blown away at how lacking in customer service this shop was to me. Maybe other people who work there are more understanding and care about return customers but that guy (wish I knew his name) ruined that place for any consideration of a repeat visit and I will never recommend it to anybody. Actually I will warn others...

wow!!!! super disappointed in our experience! i have a friend in town from italy who wanted a barbershop experience to get a beard trim. i used to work here, at this bishops’s location, and knowing their shop i brought him in there, expecting for him to get the quality of service we offered when i was doing hair here, myself. it got off to a good start, we made an appointment and when we got there they sat him down right away. it was a quick service, then it was over. the beard trim is poorly done, with lots of long stragglers left all over his neck. despite the fact that his neck is BEET red from the clippers. front and back. i asked at the end if they no longer offer beers with the service, or do the hot towel at the end like the website lists they still do. the receptionist said, they do still have both of those, they just wait for people to ask for it. if someone has never been there before, how would they know to ask?? then while we were paying, as an afterthought they asked if we then wanted the hot towel and beer. no thanks! to top it off, my friend said the barber was noticeably in a bad mood- did not greet him at all or even say hi. because of this, he did not want to ask for any adjustments or to clean up his neck any more, so we had to fix it when we got home! i will not be recommending this place to anyone ever again! waste of money! super disappointing, bishops used to be known for good service. its not what it used to be, how...

Three bad haircuts. Ask for an inch and they'll take 4. Raised prices. Place smells bad. Bad service. Beer cans laying around. Foul heavy metal music. I can't take my kid here. You'll getter a better cut, price and experience at super cuts. I have a mole I always tell the barber not to knick, so they knick it anyway and I bled a little. I was short cash since they recently went up prices so I left my debit card with them so they knew I would come back. The big guy with massive things in his ears said "I wouldn't go to a diner and order a meal i can't afford" I told him that's very rude and I'd like him to be professional and tell me what to do to move forward. I handed them my card, told them my card has no money on it and I'll return with cash so they CAN NOT BILL ME. Instead WITHOUT my legal consent they billed my card and put me in the negative. I called back and the manager said he doesn't care and I'm 86'd from all bishops and he will not give me my card back (felony). I threatened him with a lawyer and he said "I don't care do whatever you want" and hung up on me. I called the Raleigh hills location and explained everything. She was astonished this happened and said she contacted the owner. I have been waiting to hear back and have not so I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. The WORST customer service anywhere. Multnomah village is a nice sweet town and these are just millenial douchbag burnouts f*ing up everyones hair....

Starting off by saying I love Bishops and have gone there for years. This is my first time going to the Multnomah Village location and I was pretty disappointed by the service and haircut. My barber didn’t talk to me throughout the session at all, we briefly spoke in the beginning after I shared a reference pic, and they did not talk with me throughout the entire haircut or show me what they were doing. I often felt pinching on the back of my neck and the scissors slipping from their hands. They didn’t acknowledge any of the times they nipped me with scissors or the clippers, and the whole experience made me uncomfortable. I wanted to get more done, but figured it would be the most painless to just get through the haircut and go to my usual Bishops location. Wouldn’t suggest this location.

UPDATE: After having Kitty respond to my post, they reimbursed me for the $15 and offered me a free haircut with a senior stylist. This was my first time at Bishops and I cannot say that I will be coming back or recommending this place. I came in for a trim and there was a lot more that was cut off than I anticipated, and I did not want such drastic layers. The lady helping me asked if I wanted my hair curled, but failed to mention that it was an additional $15 until I got to the register. Not only was my hair curled damp, but done very poorly.

Crystal has wonderful calm , peaceful & unanxious energy ! she asked the right Q's so i could get exactly the custom cut i wanted . it was the first time ( i'm 74) i was offered a warm wash cloth to remove the stray hairs off my neck & face ! Without any pressure Crystal asked if i was interested in any hair products which i was! i expect to return & ask for her. i also learned my custom cut is called a Pixie!
