Hotbox Dispensary — Attraction in Portland

Ordered online and when I went to pick up my order. Accidentally forgot my ID I asked an employee who was in the lobby if they would accept a photo of my ID the guy said no, at the same time another employee opened the door I told that employee I forgot my ID I will go get it and be back. I returned at 6:50 and the store was all closed down. My order said open until 7pm so I called and the same guy from the lobby answered. I told him I was outside and needed to pick up my order. He said no they were closed and I could not get my order. He spent the next 10 minutes arguing with me that I never told him I was going to get my ID I told him I mentioned it to the other employee and that he was also standing right there. He than tried to gaslight me saying I didn’t talk to any workers there I describe the employee I said it to and at that point he said well you didn’t tell me I’m the manager. After catching him in that lie I than said he also should have heard me mention it because he was right there also, he than said well you missed “Last Call” but couldn’t tell me what time that was at when I questioned him. He ended the argument with “well I have just finished putting my tills up” I asked if I can have the name of his boss and he said you won’t be able to speak to them tonight anyways so no need for their name, I am disgusting by this persons actions and don’t know how you could be a manager so unprofessional!...

Unfortunately, now that they have switched to Hot Box - you can tell it’s just a money grab. All their prices have gone way up. Which I could handle at first. Until I go in every two weeks and things just keep going up.

A few weeks ago, on of their A Buds one was 120, B buds 100. I come in the next week for an online order. 130 for A buds, and B buds was almost shake. When two weeks before the B buds were just under the A bud quality.

I’m sorry, 100 bucks for essentially shake? You are out of your minds. Just because it’s your best strain your personal grower can manage to grow doesn’t mean you can classify this almost bag of shake 100 bucks.

After 4 years of being a customer, I called with my first complaint and they are like “yeah, we have no control over how the farm classifies things” - well, then I hope you continue to enjoy your customers to finding their way to small businesses that haven’t sold out.

I remember this place used to be poppin’, it was friendly, it had culture, there was diversity, now it’s just your average “Nectar” vibes and the “affordable” options are sticks and seeds.

So sad to have such a cool place turn into another...
