One important step of serving frozen dishes is making sure they are fully frozen. When Sunny's opened today, a total of 4 out of their ~10 flavors were close to the consistency of iced custard. When pointed out to the employee, she said the machine room was hot but she had "just opened" the back door and there was nothing else she could do". Fair enough– but from my 15 years in customer service, I have learned that typically when there's nothing thats doable, you offer a freebie or perk for the customer's troubles. I suggested this and she obliged. She then told me she suggested to the owner they "don't open" on days when its this hot. You mean the days when cold dishes are most in demand? When I suggested she ask her boss for an extra hour to open, she said "no one was available to work then." I have a hard time believing a store cant find an employee available at 11:30 am. instead of 12, if thats even when she arrived. In general, it appeared that she was scrambling to finish opening at 1:15.
Our frozen yogurt was drippy from the start due to the melty machines, and we had to rush to eat it to make sure it didnt fully melt.
Some additional staff resources and training would go a long way at improving your product...
Read moreBoyfriend and I went in last night, arrived right around 9pm. Everything indicated they should be open until 10pm; Google, yelp, their business website all say 10pm. The lights were on, the chairs were down, it looked up. Again, nothing to indicate they weren't.
We were finishing up our date night so we took an uber there and then planned to go home. Unfortunately as soon as we walked in the teenager working there told us they were closed. Apparently we could buy prepackaged froyo, but even then we shouldn't be there. Now we had an issue in the past where we came in during evening hours, and the girls working acted really put out (we weren't even the only ones there), but we brushed it off because it's self-serve, so not much interaction is required.
The big issues here are that the kids working here are rude, and make you feel totally unwelcome. Not to mention, they close before posted hours. Like I get if you have winter hours, cool, but update them somewhere at least. I wasted $7 on an uber there when I could have gone straight home, or somewhere else friendlier and more reliable for an after...
Read moreI live in Fargo, ND so take my word when I say that I understand FROZEN things.... I live the majority of my time in this state of being. I LOVE Frozen yogurt and I would highly recommend Sunny's!!!! Highly isn't even the right word for the kind of recommending I would do....I would describe it more as a NEED to try this frozen yogurt. If there was a way to describe in words the amazingness of this place I would sum it up as "PERFECTION". Put down your phone, your tablet, or scoot away from your computer.... no matter how far you are from this place GO THERE...
