Great place to camp and ride. Trails range from easy to moderately difficult, depending on your riding skill. Some trails have a lot of rock, so definitely shoe your horse if they have soft feet. There is some pretty long hills, I would recommend a breast/pulling collar if you don't already have one. The campground is nice. All sites have highlines to tie your horses to and electrical hook-ups. Each site also has good fire rings. There is a town located a mile or two from the camp, which is really convenient if you need any supplies. Definitely will...

The horse campground is good like the electricity and water for horses. Trails are nice BUT this place is NOT dog friendly at all. I understand dogs should be on a leash in campgrounds especially if an aggressive dog but they aren't even allowed out on trail even if they are well trained. Highly doubt I will come back after many years of...

Excellent birding spot. Right next to the parking lot there is a rock water pond nestled next to a crab apple tree. Saw lots of woodpeckers, finches, and robins, among other birds. Several walking trails among trees and grassland areas, where we saw three bald eagles...
