Arrived a little after 7pm on a Saturday. It was pretty dead. That should have been the first red flag. Another menu with way to many options. That was the second red flag. My husband and I decided to try the arroz con pollo. We were just going to split. I'm celiac. Across the country this is typically a safe option. It's usually rice, chicken, and queso. Why they needed to add canned enchilada sauce and canned mushrooms is beyond me. Don't let my name fool you. I'm white ASH. Like a gallon of milk. I'm from a predominantly Hispanic community. All I'm going to say, your ancestors are not proud of what you served. Cut that menu down to own page, two tops. Serve Mexican food. Tacos, sopes, gorditas, tortas are traditional. Smack me in the face with simple authentic Mexican food. I'm not sure I'd even call this Tex Mex. Be authenticly and unapologetically Mexican. It shines in their food. Mexican culture and cuisine is amazing. Show people that in your...
Read moreI ordered the number 14 combo with 1 enchilada, 1 taco, and a Chile relleno with rice and beans. Chips and salsa were delicious, and everything on the plate was good except the taco. Also, there was no attempt to make up for the taco, so I had to ask for a discount which I got $2 off. Decent. Something should have been offered as a...
Read moreThe guacamole made Play-Doh seem edible. Our attempt at improvising a make your own guacamole bar only proved futile as the gecko green paste had the uncanny ability to absorb and mute all flavors; probably more absorbent than the Depends I wish I were wearing. To be fair, the service was prompt and equally balanced with a complete lack of knowledge of the menu. Our entrees were indiscernible but edible-ish. After a week long bike tour during which most meals came from a tin or foil tube I found myself...
