The park has beautifully maintained landscaping of an abundance of colorful flowers and shrubs within bricked pathways for one's strolls within pleasantly enjoyable. It's centrally located. During the summer months when the swimming pool is open it's NEVER been so overcrowded all the times we have went, that were forced to wait in line for others to leave before being allowed entry, such as City Park Pool has located on southside. The swimming pool has small however decent waterslide for enjoyment, as well as, diving board. The children's play area is well maintained, clean and full of different than other parks here, more fun playground equipment to climb, play and swing on. Mineral Palace Parks best feature in our opinion, the koi && catfish filled pond that during the day you can choose to feed bread to the geese, ducks and fish that inhabit it or maybe throw a few slices to the friendly squirrels that live within the park. My husband and I, most defenitly enjoy the choice of being able to take a romantic, old-fashioned lamplight lit evening stroll atop the bridge that crosses over the koi pond. Those strolls have brought us many memorable moments together ... making this the parks favorite...
Read moreThis park has it all. Playgrounds, pools, ponds, footbridges, tons of parking, and lots of flowers. Really good shade spots. I drive by it all the time on I-25 and I finally stopped. I'm glad I did! It's even more beautiful up close. Dog friendly area. Really nice place to stop and chill if you're passing through. Lots of shops and eating close by. Has a very historical look and feel to it. I'll definitely be stopping back through. Great place to take pictures with the family or your four-legged friend. But you get one star because of your lack of restrooms. There is one set of restrooms that I could find on the far side of the park. Any of the Porta-Johns around the park are locked supposedly because they're for private events. Stupidest thing I've ever witnessed in my life. You're lucky I found the other bathrooms because I was about to go on the...
Read moreThe nicest recreational park in Pueblo CO. imho. There's a nice pond with little bridges and plenty of catfish, trout, and possibly other species to admire. There are ducks, geese, squirrels, plenty of shady trees, well manicured grass, and flowers. The park has plenty of picturesque benches to sit and enjoy nature, as well as memorable moments with a loved one.
There is a swimming pool with slides, a decently modern playground next to his and hers restrooms, an art gallery (never seen it open), an amphitheatre, and other miscellaneous structures scattered around the park.
Mineral palace park is literally a block away from Parkview Hospital and is right off of the fwy 25, exit 13th St.. My favorite place to see the squirrels play and have a quiet sunset...
