Unfortunately, if I could give the food less than 1 star, I would. I have been looking for somewhere to get a chirashi don, and found this restaurant on yelp. The pictures of the menu were something like 11 years old, and their website is no longer up, so I decided to stop in and see the menu for myself. There was 1 other set of diners there at the time, who ended up leaving before they ordered (i'm assuming their kid didn't see anything he liked on the menu). I ordered the chirashi don, seaweed salad, and a salmon roll for 49$ total. I sat and waited 40 minutes for my food, which was all cold items, in an empty restaurant. I was cool with it, because sushi is my favorite food, so i'm willing to wait. Once I paid, i had a 20 minute drive back to my house. 3 boxes: chirashi, salmon roll, and seaweed salad. I couldn't eat the seaweed salad. It is usually bright and salty, and this tasted fermented, old, and maybe kept at the wrong temperature (it literally reminded me of beer). The salmon roll had 5 pieces for 9$, and tasted like the fish had been kept in a container with other foods. I didn't taste salmon... I tasted lemon I think? Same for the chirashi, every fish was cut in an obscured way, and tasted downright expired (I did not finish it for fear of foodborne illness). This is coming from someone who is more than content to eat sushi at a mediocre buffet as well as places like Itos in florence and sushi sasa in denver. Based on other reviews, i expected fresh fish with clean flavors but this was something else entirely. It was the worst sushi I've ever had, and it made me wish I would have gone to sams club for sushi instead. I'll include a picture of one of the cuts of tuna that looks like it began to cook somehow (the rice was kept cold, so there was absolutely no hot food in my order). It is brown on one side. And a picture of what might be hamachi that has dried edges, like it had been sitting out for far too long. Overall very disappointing. I will say, the waiter and sushi chef were very, very nice...

I will not eat here again. I wanted the menu from the kitchen while my husband wanted to eat from the "teppan" table. My waitress was more than happy to try to meet our requests but the owner interuppted and said I could not sit there if I was not ordering from the teppan menu.
I thought the customer was always right, but I have to say that is not the case here. I actaully felt like I was geting in trouble. The owner was arrogant and rude.
My waitress did try her best to better the situation and made sure we had everything we needed. I felt sorry for her. I overheard the owner in the kitchen yelling at her for her allowing me to sit with my husband at the teppan table even though I wanted the ktihen menu. She tried to explain things but the owner clearly did not care. I even heard hm saying he did not want customers like this, who wanted to have things thier way.
After our food was cooked, the owners contiued to try to talk to us. We tried to be polite but honestly it was annoying to go out to eat with my husband and have my table invaded by owners wanting me to compliment them. All I wanted to do was tell them go away so I could eat in peace.
I felt bad for my waitress. No employee deserves that kind...
Read moreWhen we went the experience was unforgettable! I love Japanese food I was so excited to find hibachi food here in Pueblo but that was soon diminished! We ordered steaks and shrimp with vegetables well we got all of three shrimp and our vegetables were the peals and our steaks were not worth what we paid for them more grisly than meat! The only vegetables you can count on are onions! Look don’t get me wrong I really wanted to love the food here just was so extremely disappointed! When we pointed out that there were just peals not vegetables except onions we were treated differently like all the sudden there was a language barrier that hadn’t existed before so I’m very saddened as I’d hoped for a great hibachi restaurant to dine in often now I am so sad because there’s no other Japanese hibachi restaurants that I’m aware of here or close! So disappointed!! I guess if you don’t mind paying a lot for less than 2oz of steak and not a lot of rice and peals of vegetables with great dipping sauce give it a go! Shrimp tastes great so did the little bit of steak we...
