Cueva de las Golondrinas in Manati - An Unforgettable Family Adventure I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cueva de las Golondrinas in Manati with my family, and I can confidently say that it was an extraordinary experience that exceeded our expectations. This remarkable cave offers a perfect blend of exploration, education, and fun, making it an ideal destination for families looking to embark on an unforgettable adventure. From the moment we stepped foot into the cave, we were awestruck by its grandeur. The massive stalactites and stalagmites formed intricate natural sculptures, creating a surreal atmosphere that transported us to another world. The knowledgeable guides at Cueva de las Golondrinas provided us with fascinating insights into the geological wonders that surrounded us, making the educational aspect of the visit truly enlightening. As we ventured deeper into the cave, we were treated to breathtaking sights and sounds. The vast chambers echoed with the melodious chirping of birds, creating a symphony of nature's wonders. The highlight of our visit was witnessing the mesmerizing sight of swarms of swallows gracefully taking flight from the depths of the cave. It was an awe-inspiring spectacle that left us in awe of the beauty and complexity of the natural world. One aspect that truly sets Cueva de las Golondrinas apart is its emphasis on safety and conservation. The guides ensured that we were equipped with proper gear and provided thorough instructions on navigating through the cave. A wonderful rock formation in the coast of Manatí, in the central north coast of the island. This natural treasure has a little beach that you can enjoy while you can take a splash inside the cave. Be sure to use water shoes due to the rocks and limestone that is on the beach floor. Sometimes waves are rough and tide is too high and is not safe to enter to the cave. Be sure that is a day with good weather and low tide to enjoy it. No parking space at the site. You must leave your car on a nearby road and walk like 10-15 minutes to the cave. Part of the trail was broken since Hurricane Maria in 2017, so you have to climb rocks of limestone on a short segment of the trail. The rest of the trail is safe to walk.

This was the most exclusive beach I’ve been to. Saw several people but not a lot! A little hiking & walking through the forest was great! But the nothing prepared me for such a breathtaking view! This beach had a forest & caves! Posted a video of the cave. Check it out, u won’t be disappointed! **Advisory: Please help us maintain our beautiful island & take your trash with you if there are no garbage cans. We thank you in advance.**

Let me first start of by saying that getting to the Cueva de las Golodrinas is going to be a short hike from the parking area and the path is barely visible at times. You will find yourself wondering if you're getting closer and the answer is yes but be careful.

Once there at the cave, it is truly amazing and awe inspiring with the cliffs, the waves crashing against the shoreline and the cave itself. You must however, respect the power of the ocean because you can easily get caught up in the current and be taken out. We took a lot of pictures from the picturesque scenery.

Also, some part of the area has lava rocks that are very dangerous so make sure you have a good pair of rubber sole shoes to wear and be careful when you get to the waves because they are powerful. I was knocked down several times and then realized I should get to higher ground. This is definitely a recommend place to visit while visiting...
