Gorgeous, very private beach on the east side of the peninsula. Clean with no trash. Great views of the bay and back to seven seas Beach. Depending on the direction of the waves, may not be appropriate for swimming. Today there was two to three foot surf with lots of beach break and the shoreline was very steep. There are many warnings about undertale, so we decided not to try swimming. On the spur trail that takes you here, there is quite a bit of painted graffiti that says nude, so I wonder if this is sometimes a nude beach. We couldn't tell as we were the only people here at 10:00 on a Saturday morning. To get here, take the trail at the left end of seven seas beach. After 200 yards, you will hit a t junction. Turn right. After 5 minutes, you will emerge back at the water again. At this point you'll see a trail going left. Don't take it, head on straight. After another 5 minutes you will see a trail headed off to the right marked by a bunch of red paint graffiti it's his nude. This is the trail to playa colora, and it is only about a hundred yards long. There is a palm tree on the right part of the beach that provides amazing...

One of my new favorite beaches. I couldn't feel a lateral current, but it still feels treacherous for swimming, so be careful. It's a steep beach so the waves really rush in and out with a lot of power. They also sculpt the beach sand into hills so the sand itself has a beautiful topography. In the spot I got in the water, the sand ended abruptly and I was standing on a smooth sandstone floor. You can climb around on the black rocks at the East end of the beach which is a fun place to watch the waves crash. The sand is a golden brown and had a course texture. There were a lot of little shells but nothing big - the waves probably break anything big. When we got there around 10am on a Friday, there was one other person, then a second guy with a camera showed up for a bit, then we had it to ourselves. As we were leaving around noon, more people...

This is one of my favorite beaches on the whole island. Its a short, easy hike (15-20min) from nearby Seven Seas Beach, but its worth it. The water at Playa Escondida is often cloudy because its directly on the Atlantic but Playa Colora is in a protected bay, and the snorkeling and free diving here is fantastic. Be aware of rip currents, however; never go diving alone. The beach itself is very big, with plenty of room for everyone, and there’s even a secluded pool on the Western side, near the rocks. Lots of reef diving opportunities and plenty of corals. Make sure you bring plenty of drinking...

Best beach we visited in PR by far. Gorgeous blue crashing waves (do not attempt to swim) and completely secluded inlet. As other reviewers mention, it is a hike to get to! Recommend wearing close toed shoes like sneakers, it’s not difficult but sandals are a little tough. Sand is a bit coarse but that seems common for PR. We went on a Monday afternoon and were completely alone on the beach for hours listening to the waves and catching sun. There are no amenities with how secluded and remote but definitely worth the trip. There was even a few palm trees to provide shade if you need a break from the sun.

This was a great little beach, the sand was super soft, orange and there weren't many people there when we arrived. Mostly because it's a hike from the other nearby beach. When we arrived at the beach, there was only one couple there, so we had the whole thing pretty much to ourselves. The waves were rough and it was white caps for an hour or two. A local was hiking and told us that the tide was changing and didn't suggest we go swimming there. So we hiked it to the next beach over. It's totally amazing and even better if you take the extra hike up to Playa Escondida, a few hundred meters up the trail.
