*BEWARE - JELLYFISH - bring vinegar just in case!! One of the most beautiful beaches so far in Puerto Rico. But be cautious of jellyfish and if your kids wear a full swim suit, that is ideal.
To treat a jellyfish sting at Seven Seas Beach in Puerto Rico, follow these steps:
Get out of the Water: Safely leave the water to prevent further stings.
Do Not Rub the Affected Area: Rubbing can cause more venom release.
Rinse with Vinegar or Saltwater: Rinse the area with vinegar to neutralize the venom. If vinegar isn't available, use saltwater instead.
Remove Tentacles Carefully: Use a pair of tweezers to gently remove any tentacles still attached to the skin.
Hot Water Immersion: Soak the affected area in hot water (not scalding) for 20 to 45 minutes if possible.
Pain Relief: Use over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain.
Avoid Fresh Water, Alcohol, or Urine: These can trigger the release of more venom.
Seek Medical Attention if Needed: If there's a severe reaction, difficulty breathing, or if the sting covers a large area, seek immediate medical help.
It's always a good idea to carry a first aid kit with vinegar and tweezers when visiting beaches where jellyfish are common. And remember, local advice and guidance from lifeguards or medical professionals should...
Read moreThis is another beautiful, peaceful beach. At the entrance, you're greeted by the bathroom comittee. He or she will let you know that the cost for using the restrooms is $1. This price is for the entire day. Locals usually crowd it on Sundays but there's plenty of space for everyone. There's a kayak rental available. What I love about this beach, aside from its beauty, is the hidden trails and even a hike to find other hidden beaches like, Playa Colorada, Playa Escondida, and La Cueva. If you decide to look for La Cueva, do it early. It can take about an hour to an hour and a half one way. The paths are hard to find so you don't want to get caught in the dark! Once you're there, it is a beautiful view. I can't say it's safe I was scared when we got really close to La Cueva but for most people who have made it that far have gone all the way into the cave. There's a cave in the form of a window. It's as if you're looking out into the ocean from inside. It's a spectacular view. There's also a wonderful...
Read moreI think I should review this beach as a local with experience, first anyone who says luquillo is cleaner I'm unsure how as that beach has 60 bars. Cool but not cleaner. The pay parking area is convenient but not the best area in this very long beach line. This area has 7 beaches all connected from governor beach to the zanha. Large strips of clear water beaches. Yes outside the parking area the bathrooms are limited and for some people this may matter. As far as clarity the right crescent is some of the clearest water similar to culebra. I have lived there 5 years and some may scoff but I would bet money the right crescent is warmer and more clear than flamenco beach. As a local In culebra most would agree. The best areas are not convenient and you need to walk more than 10 minutes for a private spot but it is worth tho walk. I guess I would give the parking area 3.5 stars but those that explore will find a 5 star plus beach with calm waters for swimming. For boats Google prsnorkel...
