The owners scammed me into buying a stove they knew would not work just to get it off their sales floor, and then refused to exchange it for what I had asked for in the first place.
When I walked in, I asked if they had any gas stoves, and the owner led me directly to a dual fuel stove. When my contractor relayed the news that this stove was dual fuel, not just gas, and would cost another $300 to run the new power I went back to the store to ask them to exchange it. They refused to do this, even though they sold me something they knew would not work in my home.
So I paid to run the new electric. Once that' s hooked up, it's apparent the electric oven display doesn't work. So now I have to hire an appliance repair person, their time and the part is another $200. Now the display lights up but the control board doesn't work aka the oven still doesn't work.
It's obscene!!! What should have cost me approx. $500 has now cost $900+ and it STILL DOESN'T WORK!!!! And now I need to buy an electric stove b/c the power was switched, which will be another $600 minimum, or pay another contractor to put the power back the way it was and buy another gas stove.
Either the owners either don't know anything about appliances or they're knowingly trying to screw you over. Whichever is true, stay away...
Read moreUPDATE: Turns out the owner was misleading my son and I. We were told by the owner that he bought appliances straight from the manufacturer. The smaller fridge we bought, once delivered, we discovered there were not any door trays and the $700 fridge did not work. My son called Racine Liquidators who gave him a number to call because he said it has a warranty. It was to GE Appliances. After looking up the code from the fridge my son was told the fridge was purchased by Best Buy as a floor model so it probably did not have trays for the door. GE arranged for a tech to come out to investigate why the fridge wouldn't work. He said the condenser was leaking oil (but none was on the floor or steps going up to my son's house). The next step is to call GE again to see if the warranty covers the condenser.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. WE WERE TOLD BY THE TECH THAT THESE TYPES OF COMPANIES BUY IN BULK FROM STORES, THEY SEE IF THEY RUN AND IF NOT, SCRAP IT. RACINE LIQUIDATORS LIST ON THEIR AGREEMENT NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.
First time here and I was greeted very friendly. I was shown the products we needed. The owner was very outgoing and knew what he was...
Read moreIssues with both a GE washer and GE dryer- even though they were both covered under the warranty, still a hassle to call and be home for when they come service it. Even the GE technician said he wishes racine liquidators would stop selling their stuff because all they get is calls from people that bought stuff from them. July we got the dryer fixed due to it not drying- yes it turned on and tumbled but it didn’t heat well and we would have to run it 3 times to get a load fully dry… now this week the washing machine broke. I want to support a local place, but next time I’ll buy from Costco, Menards, or Sam’s club.
Positive thing that did happen was that when I bought from them, they wrapped it really good and had it ready to load right into my truck bed. The guy was very nice too, but I’ve had nothing but issues with...
