The Shed at Fitzgerald Fruit Farms — Attraction in Raleigh

My husband and I came in one Friday July 5th. There were two types of peaches available. When I got to the register I told the medium to long hair blonde woman I had a question. Before I could even get the question out of my mouth she said, and I quote "don't ask me anything about the peaches." Well as I explained to her that is exactly what I was going to ask. She proceeded to tell me that peaches are like apples and hamburgers, they all taste the same. As I told her , no they do not all taste the same. She just kept repeating this instead of being any help. She also kept saying that they have thirty different varieties and there was no way to explain the difference. I want you all to know that there were only two varieties available for purchase that day. Would it have been so inconvenient to say one was more sweet then the other? As I said she kept bringing up apples as well as hamburger's, in stating no one could tell the difference. Personally I think you need a very different job if you are going to be that ugly. I had planned on purchasing a lot of items but as soon as I had to deal with that snotty woman I really didn't want to give my business to help pay the wage of a very ugly woman. PS. I truly hope the woman who treated us this way reads this and knows you are in the wrong industry and should go work somewhere that doesn't deal with customers.......let alone anything that...

We have visited once. It's near my husband's shop. I normally can't eat ice cream as it usually makes me very sick, but I tried their soft homemade ice cream in their homemade waffle cones. They have peach and strawberry or you can get the two swirled. I got the two swirled and it was the most delicious ice cream I've ever had! It was a huge amount and my hubby was so scared it was going to make me sick, but I ate the whole thing and it didn't make me sick at all! I've only been able to tolerate a small ice cream sandwich and a few bites of a McDonald's ice cream on a cone. I can also eat Freddie's custard. So, being able to enjoy real ice cream was absolutely amazing! They also have lots of jams, jellies, salsa, sauces, and peach cake. Everything I've had from there is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it!

If you want to visit Georgia peach heaven, take a ride through middle Georgia to this jewel outside of Woodbury. A.friend first told us about Fitzgerald Fruit Farms in 2017. The peaches are delicious and reasonably priced. They grow many varieties and the crops come in until mid-September. There are even scrumptious strawberries available starting in late March.

There are also vegetables available in late spring and summer. The staff is friendly, helpful and downright awesome. The “shed” has been rebuilt, complete with AC and a big front porch with comfy rocking chairs. And don’t you dare miss Ms Bernice’s homemade peach and strawberry ice cream.
