Read moreVisited Bonita falls for the first time and wow! It is so peaceful, refreshing and the water is really cold up there! Worth the hike. It is an easy hike but there's a lot of rocks so be careful as you are making your way up there. Good hiking shoes are recommended as well as water shoes. 30 minute hike, 15 minutes of it there's no shade at all but the rest has plenty of trees, shade and places to sit and rest. Bring water and a hat it gets hot as you walk up. Getting in the water is permitted and encouraged as you will need it after the walk up there. What to expect: Some parking spaces on the street Bring good hiking shoes Bring some water Bring some mosquito repellent Bring sun screen Bring extra clothes if you expect to jump or get wet in the waterfalls Plenty of rocks. Beautiful scenery
The hike will depend on the route you take, it can take up to 1.7 miles there and back or you can park where I parked at. The route I took was about 3 miles there and back.
