I'm glad I went but, I didn't make it to the falls. I followed a group of people from the ranger station to a little store just passed the entrance to the trail to purchase the day pass I needed ($5) because the ranger station was closed. There are no signs telling you where the trail is or where you can park. Luckily the group knew where and I followed them in but, I didn't feel comfortable being there by myself for long. After following along the water for a while I came to a part where it was someone's property (I'm not going to tresspass)so, I went a different way that went to a campground. Not wanting to intrude on the campground either I just turned around at that point. It is very pretty there. I think the hike could be a bit much for kids to complete. There also appears to be cleanup efforts happening (several dumpsters on the roadside) as well as evidence of people maybe sleeping there. I will try again when I can find someone that knows the way to the falls and so, I am not alone.
Update 09/02/2022 We made it to the falls!! So worth the hike! I had someone with me but, they didn't know how to get there (I was the guide) we figured we would just try and find it and we did. It took about an hour (maybe it would be less since we didn't know exactly where we were going). If you follow the stream until you end at the private property (or campground) then veer left toward the mountains and you will see some arrows painted on the rocks as well as other people walking in the same general direction. You can also buy an adventure day pass ($5) at the ampm as soon as you turn off Sierra. None of this hike is marked out or flat area. It's rocky, paths are just where others have walked through, not everyone would enjoy this hike. I love all those...

It was a beautiful waterfall.we went Tuesday reached the waterfall at 11am.there was 4 other groups besides our.a busy trail but everyone else seems to respect one another.we will probably be back with lunch next time on a different day.this is the only hike my 10 year old didn't complain about🙂my fiance also enjoyed the hike...
Read moreThis isn't a very difficult hiking trail. The first part is walking through a dry riverbed where there is a lot of rocks and sand and then you begin the upward climb. The climb toward the falls isn't super steep or difficult. It's covered in trees so even in the hottest part of summer, the temperatures aren't unbearable. I have asthma and was able to hike it just fine, I had to take a few breaks and go at my own pace but made it without an asthma attack. People of all ages make the hike, including babies & children and often people bring their dogs as long as they're on a leash. The dogs, I mean 😉 There's a lot of trash people leave behind and there's graffiti on the rocks and trees which sucks. My husband and I bring a black trash bag with us whenever we hike and pick up trash along the way. Overall it's a great hike, not too difficult, and the falls are a...
