I have allergies and so when I order I ask a lot of questions. I was going between tortellini or the roast. I asked if they made the tortinini gluten free and she said yes! I said oh wow that's awesome. I asked for no tomatoes on it since I can't have them either. She returned about 5 minutes later and asked what type if sauce I wanted since I said no tomatoes. I was kinda confused because the tortellini didnt mention a sauce picture just shows what would look like olive oil or just sprinkled cheese on top which were fine. She said I could get vodka sauce and I said sure which I assumed was what rhey used for the tortellini. When they brought put my food it was fettuccine noodles with a piece of grilled chicken and tomato sauce. I immediately said "what is this? I ordered tortellini". She says "oh our gluten free noodles are the fettuccine." I replied "if that's what you substitute you should have told me. I specifically asked if you had gluten free tortellini. You said yes. Tortellini and fettuccine are not the same. It also looks like this is tomato sauce and not vodka sauce can you please go check?". She comes back 5 minutes later and tells me yes there was a mistake and this was tomato sauce not vodka sauce. I hadn't taken 1 bite and my husband already had half his plate eaten. She asked what I'd like to do and I told her I'd just like the pot roast at this point with no gravy since it wasn't gluten free. It took another 15 minutes for me to get my dinner. However, I'm giving 3 stars because the pot roast dinner was very good. But the staff should definitely know going forward how to properly substitute for allergies and to inform the customers of what is...
Read moreMyself and 4 friends dined here for 1st time & last. We had 5 in our party and could NOT sit on the huge patio. We asked if we could add 1 chair to the table and were told- absolutely NOT. So if you’re going here and have more than 4 people in your party, be aware you will NOT be sitting together.. on the patio. We were offered to sit in the “upstairs patio”. The tables are the large barrels with very high backless- hard metal stools !! When dinner is over, you’re so ready to just leave ( maybe that’s the objective). It’s so uncomfortable with your feet dangling off these stools, no back-( so you lean on the table), hard as a rock seats- you’re ready to exit !! The food was mediocre at best. The menu selections were impressive, but not the food. 4 of us ordered entrees with “ grilled chicken” in them. They were pre-cooked plastic looking chicken- that came out of a bag ?! Let me know if I’m wrong and these were freshly cooked chicken breast ?? Everyone at the table ( all had different entrees) said the food was tasteless. I had the Caesar salad with salmon added. It consisted of romaine lettuce / a few large leaves and some cut up grape tomatoes- that was it, for $12.00 $9.00 extra for a piece of dry salmon. Glass of rose’- $8.00, glass was not even half full, it was more of a 1/3 of a stemless wine glass full. There is also an outside area with sofa’s & chairs, we asked about sitting there- No food, just drinks only, ( there are signs regarding the time limit to sit in this area) 2 hrs only and you have to get drinks to go and move on !! The venture and surrounding area is just beautiful, but the customer service focus and food...
Read moreSo my Wife and I were really looking forward to a great night out without the kids. She's been talking about going here for weeks and we finally got the chance to. We made our reservation and when we got there, the outside eating area looked very well layed out. As we got inside, we noticed only one other couple was in there, which didn't make sense because it showed they were packed on reservations. We were taken to our table and waited about 5 minutes for someone to come to get our drink order. We were shocked how short the wine list was, especially being a winery. We started with the zucchini sticks and when they showed up they were extremely small and shouldn't even be considered an appetizer, more like a sample. They tasted okay, but definitely not the best and definitely not worth $10. My wife then got the charcuterie board which had a nice layout, but definitely not the best tasting one we've had by a long shot. I got the pizza, and let me tell you what, you can get a much better pizza anywhere but there for the high price of $17!!! Our waitress was very nice and attentive, but seemed very new to the place. As far as the layout inside, the wood inside is beautiful but there's no decor, other than string lights. It's very very quiet inside, which it should be since there only two couples in the whole building. Someone needs to go in there and decorate this place, because you feel like you're in a wooden box. We might try this place again maybe in the next 6 months to give it another try. But for now, I wouldn't recommend going there...
