I love this Y! The variety of classes they offer on a weekly basis from Barre to Kettlebells to indoor cycling to HIIT is amazing for the monthly membership option they offer. The instructors are enthusiastic and seem to really love to teach which provides for an awesome atmosphere for group exercise. The facilities have improved since I first joined in 2018, with the cardio room having more machines and equipment for stretching and strengthening. The pools and women’s bathroom haven’t changed AFICT but still a great addition to the membership. The facilities always look, smell, and feel clean. My few interactions with the staff re membership have always been great. They’ve helped me get setup quickly and with helpful explanations of the Y’s policies. Before joining again last month after a long hiatus, I considered joining an OrangeTheory or CrossFit gym to get variety in my workouts, but they can’t beat the price, offerings, and the nice atmosphere this Y offers.

As an active adult I enjoy going to the Randolph YMCA because they offer a variety of fitness activities. Swimming, weight room, cardio and the countless fitness classes both on land and in the water. There is definitely something for everyone. Whatever your fitness goals are the Randolph YMCA is the place to go! It’s been my go to place for quite a few years now and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

There are many things wrong with the Y here in Randolph. But if there’s one thing I can credit them for, it’s keeping their equipment in good condition and quickly addressing the problem when something is broken. There are a lot of things can be changed here, but nobody chooses to do anything about it. To start, one of the most basic things and the simplest thing to do is hire more friendly and helpful staff. Many (but not all) of the staff that work here are very rude or just not happy at all. However, I solve that problem by trying to avoid talking to any staff members. Sadly I’ve seen worse. But one of the bigger issues is that most of the place inside is very dark and dooomy with a lot of things on the walls such as photos that have just remained untouched for many years. Other than that, the thing that aggravates me the most is how the whole entire track area is always disgustingly hot. There’s been so many times that I’ve entered the downstairs area and just feel the heat and moisture and sweat in the air and it’s pretty disgusting. And It only gets worse as you start to workout. They probably don’t even use the air conditioning in the track area because everytime you go into the cardio room, it always feels nice and cool. Another area that could use some help is the locker rooms. The locker rooms (Guys one anyway) are pretty dated and dirty and the facilities are usually in poor condition. The thing that aggravates me the most about this place, and it’s not their fault, is the poor cellular connection. However this could be resolved by installing high speed Internet throughout which this location does not really have. The availabe WiFi either doesn’t work at all or is very very very slow. This makes it difficult when trying to listen to music services on your phone and making texts and calls. I really hope someone will wake up and give some more love and attention to the YMCA...

I have been a member of West Morris Y for many years. What I love about my Y is they continually evolve and their members benefit from that. They have state of the art equipment, great classes, and a beautiful pool. Their personal training is amazing. I have been training with Mina for 8 years. He keeps me strong and agile! They also have group personal training which is fun and very affordable! You will never do the same workout twice as they keep it engaging and fun. The Y is clean and bright making it a pleasant place to be. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They have the absolute state of the art E-GYM which is a pre programmed workout circuit that does all the programming of your weight and sets up the machines based on YOUR fit test. You sign in with your wrist band and the machine sets everything up for you. E-GYM IS perfect for all members from the experienced gym member to someone who needs to be welcomed back into the gym if they have been out of the loop for a while. You can tour the Y and see if it is for you. It is the only gym for me! While some may consider the locker room outdated, it is always clean. I don’t care about the locker room. This Y puts funds into what you go to the gym for-equipment you don’t have at your home. Cardio equipment is replaced, I believe every two years so it’s in great shape. The main workout room has amazing cable machines with multiple ways to use them. There is also a free weight room. The main workout room has additional cardio equipment to boost your heart rate during workouts! If I could give it more than 5...

I’m really glad we decided to become members of the Randolph YMCA. My entire family really enjoys coming. Immediately, Monica made me feel welcomed and helped me feel comfortable leaving my then 6-month old and 2 year old in babysitting, encouraging me to take a little time for myself. The babysitters are all kind and excellent. Since coming, the babysitting room has been transformed and looks great, seems to be organized in Waldorf and Montessori inspired way, making it easy for kids to find new ways to play. There have been a ton of cool kids events since joining, we especially love the Halloween event and Healthy Kids Day. My eldest asks to come to the “ABC’s” now! I’m really glad Monica reminds us to come to events when we visit the Y, because they are really fun.

Sammie in aquatics and the aquatic instructors run things smoothly and are very helpful. My kids really enjoy their swim lessons.

I’ve seen this place go through many repairs and efforts to keep it up and running- and it shows! I think it is organized and clean. The efforts don’t go unnoticed. Overall, we are happy with our memberships and the lovely staff we’ve...
