Rosie Cleans — Local services in Randolph Township

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I wasn't going to write this review, but as I clean my house and continue to see more areas that weren't cleaned after I paid $250 for a "deep cleaning", I feel more like I was scammed. First, I was told that the quote I received was the same for a deep cleaning and a regular cleaning--her words. Second, I was told that there would be a walk-through before and after to go over what will be done and what I was looking for--NEITHER HAPPENED. Third, nothing on their checklist was really completed. The baseboards were not cleaned. Even after I said something, the cleaning tech mumbled something (she didn't speak English) and acted like she went back to clean them--she didn't. Fourth, she DIDN'T MOVE ANYTHING--I have a blender, knife block, typical things on my kitchen counter that were not moved to wipe the counter underneath. I had luggage in my hallway (we were leaving for vacation the next day) that she did not move to vacuum underneath. She cleaned AROUND THINGS. Fifth, she did not dust any shelves. Sixth, she did not finish vacuuming the floors. Seventh, IT TOOK HER 5 HOURS TO FINISH! My house is very small. I have a bungalow with a master add-on. What the hell was she doing? I was told it would take 2.5-3 hours. I had to pick up my daughter, but yet I was sitting their waiting for her to finish messing around. The only thing I paid for was my stove top and refrigerator to be cleaned. AND SHE SCRATCHED THE TOP OF MY STOVE TOP. I have exposed stairs going down to our finished basement. These were not vacuumed. I included the finished basement in the square footage when I requested the quote--it was not done. She would have known that I was expecting those to be cleaned if she had done the walk-through like I was told. Basically, I have no idea what I paid $250 for. After I took pictures and told the manager Cecilia how their service was, they refunded me $25 after asking if they could come back and finish. You wasted so much of my time & money, why would I want this person who did such a horrible job to come back into my house? I was leaving for vacation the next day, I don't have time to sit and hope they would actually do their job. A $25 refund is ridiculous considering the service I paid for was not only not complete, but a total waste of time and money. I hired them to save me time and I feel like I got scammed. I could've cleaned my whole house in less time and done a better job and save some money and aggravation. Considering their reviews, I was highly disappointed. I called Rosie Cleans and spoke with an absolutely FABULOUS woman, Cecilia. She was extremely kind and so very helpful. I needed a specific timeframe for the whole house to be cleaned in, and last minute. She was able to put a crew together for me for the next day. This company is Fantastic! Four women came with all their own supplies and vacuum. This team Cecilia sent to me was OUTSTANDING!!! The worked so hard to do a DEEP clean. I am very neat and tidy but was in desperate need of deep cleaning (baseboards, under beds, dusting everything, bathrooms, kitchen etc) and these ladies did in 2 hours what would have taken me 4-5 days to do! It was worth every penny! I have never used a cleaning company before but now as I get older I need help. My home looks so beautiful, smells so fresh, and is spotless now! I love love love the job they did! Truly amazing! I highly recommend Rosie Cleans to everyone! My stove had stains I thought were permanent from years of cooking that no matter what I tried I could not remove but this team got it all off and shined the cast iron grates to look like new! They washed ALL my floors EVEN UPSTAIRS in hall and bedrooms and now the floors feel magnificent on my bare feet! Cecilia called just as the crew arrived promptly at 2 and again at 4 just after they left to make sure I was happy. Cecilia is excellent to communicate with and truly went out of her way to help me get it all done. I am so impressed with the way Cecilia treated me and how she managed to put it all together! I am beyond thrilled with this company. When my husband came home he couldn't believe how spotless the house looked so I told him that I hired Rosie Cleans to come while he was at work. I did a walk through with him so he could see everything that was done and I let him know that I could never do all this in such a short time, not to mention that I would need lots of Advil for days after! I've used Rosie Cleans a few times now. First for a move-in cleaning as the prior owners left a bit of a mess and I'm now on a schedule to have them clean bi-weekly. Their prices are a bit steep compared to what my boyfriend was used to with cleaners in his old home, but in my opinion, it is worth it. I'm super picky about cleaning my house and thought the cleaners my boyfriend had at his old place didn't do as thorough of a job as I would have liked. But unfortunately, in our bigger home and with all of our work responsibilities, we just didn't have the time to do a full house cleaning as often as we would like. So I found Rosie Cleans (I actually found them a year ago when I was in Summit but we were out of their zone).

So far, I've been happy with Rosie Cleans. The manager, Cecilia, is very open in communication, letting us know when something comes up that needs to be rescheduled, checking in to clarify instructions, following up post cleaning, etc. She also was able to squeeze us in for our initial cleaning when online it had looked like there was no availability for months.

In terms of cleaning, the ladies who handle our home seem pretty thorough so far. They take everything off the tables and countertops to clean (versus lazily dusting or wiping around things) and I've seen them actually on the stairs cleaning between the railing balusters. This past week, my mom was in town and even she was impressed.

Finally, I also really like their online scheduling system. So far it has been pretty easy to add and remove certain items for individual cleanings which is something we're definitely going to be taking advantage of...
