We went again 4 the Father's Day wkend car show, Excellent car show actually went inside 2 use the restroom n 2 git the wife a cup O' coffee n the coffee shop? was very disappointed as far as the coffee shop looks nice but couldn't get 1 person 2 git us a cup of coffee to go, really!!! The barmaid was far more helpful however we went outside, finished the car show then went n gotta cup of coffee elsewhere don't know that I'll b goin back 2 this coffee shop ever! The hostess was rather short with us regarding this 2, as n like "you can wait over there with the rest of the people". Jus wanted a cup of coffee 2 go? Whatever happened 2 customer service???

Slots are pretty loose here and they always have the newest slot machines from IGT. But aside from that, they have an AMAZING steakhouse. The Cactus Creek steakhouse is phenomenal! When I went there I found out they are a prime only steakhouse I was amazed. The generals Ribeye is a must! In my opinion, they are the best prime steakhouse in town for the price and quality of everything. They also have a happy hour at the steakhouse bar from 4 to 6 wed-sun!! Plus the sides are extremely cheap for how delicious everything is. You'll probably find me at the bar have a signature cocktail or craft beer enjoying 4 cheese mac and cheese with asparagus.

Great staff (Cindy Lou) and classic breakfast, and you can eat lunch for breakfast if you desire...or breakfast for breakfast. The Kung Pao Chicken ranks in my top 5 ever for that dish and I am comparing it to Mr Chow in Las Vegas and Chef Chu in Los Altos CA, the later responsible for several White House State Dinners. This item had so much flavor without extreme heat that I was shocked I was not in a world class Chinese Restaurant but rather the building where the First Muppets Movie was filmed and basically a cafe with a small weekend buffet. The Orange Chicken also deserves a look as it is wonderful. Bravo!!!

A friend of mine and I have started going to the Bonanza Casino again and eating at the Branding Iron restaurant, which is a historic place in Reno Nevada. The Bonanza Casino shares it's fame in the name of the television show which was also called Bonanza. It was filmed in part up at Lake Tahoe and lasted for many years, The reruns are still playing today. Hoss, little Joe and Hop sing, were some of the characters on the show.

The Branding iron restaurant in the casino has daily specials, which are very reasonably priced. They are also well-made and tasty. Last night, on Wednesday, they offer an lall-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner! And the price is only $8.95 per person. Wow! And did I mention it was all you can eat? Whatever! So that’s what I had. Actually, two heaping plates full is what I had.

So the spaghetti was excellent and I left a five dollar tip for the waitress. Being a cheapskate I just had a glass of water because drinks are $4.99, ouch! But getting back to the spaghetti, not only was it plentiful , but it was pretty darn good. Congratulations to the chef and kitchen staff. The noodles were Al Dante. The waitress brought some Parmesan cheese and crust, red peppers which I used plenty of both but that’s not the end of the story.

Two nights ago I went in and had the meatloaf special. OMG! I don’t know how they do it, but the meatloaf was cooked perfectly, and there was more than enough. Of course, it was smothered in brown gravy with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. Oh, and also a dinner roll and butter . It was more expensive than the spaghetti dinner, but really not that much more.

So Tuesday night they had tacos special, but I was busy. However, tomorrow night is the fried chicken special and I’ve already got a seat picked out! You got that right, I’m gonna try out there southern fried chicken special just to round out the week.

There’s plenty of gaming in the main casino. In fact, I might be losing a few dollars to their megabucks machine that is right near the front door. So for a three dollar bet which pays on the center line and is a three real machine, the megabucks payout is now over $10 million .! WHAT? Are you kidding me right now? Oh yeah, I might have to burn a 20 just for the one in 1 million chance of winning the big one! I’m definitely going to buy everyone in the casino a chicken dinner if I win. L O L.

So get up to the bonanza a truly local casino that how much very good food and a very clean casino. I’ll be the one sitting in the back booth eating...

I am a local that has been eating at The Bonanza Casino on and off since the 90s. The last few meals I have had there have been less than mediocre.

Spaghetti- all you can eat on Weds evenings (last night 1-3-2023). Don't fall for this trap! The plate was a joke..... For $10 you get some soggy noodles topped with a spoonful of surgery tomato sauce that I compare to the taste of a can spaghetti-os. Since that was all that was served, I had to order a 5.99 side salad that was mainly lettuce with a couple of puny tomatoes and bottled ranch dressing. Then I asked the waitress if garlic bread came with this poor of an excuse called a dinner special and was told that the bread had to be ordered and was $2/ slice. Now that slice was just the bottom half of the French loaf. I am sorry that I had forgotten my phone to show this truly poor excuse for a meal for what it is.

On Sunday nights they have a rib special that supposedly sells out before 6 or 6:30pm. Now most respected places would simply poo order more ribs for the next week. Theses guys don't do this, I have tried 2 times to eat this rib special between 6 and 7 pm during the month of December and was c blocked.

I'm pretty discouraged with The Bonanza as they must be feeling the pressures of the economy and are responding by making cuts to their food, it's a very poor choice.

Bonanza Casino Please just raise the prices and maintain some quality as your Coffee Shop is in a sad state. I won't be going back until I know there has been an effort to either improve quality or be honest about what the consumer is getting. You guys are going to lose business...

I’m understanding the fact of them being understaffed with some staff (The Cage Supervisors in particular) being very unprofessional and unfriendly! The simple fact you can play for 20-30 minutes without anyone behind the bar, and then when someone does come, they aren’t allowed to serve you another drink until 20 minutes passes. I think that’s absurd when playing a dollar wager, especially when the machines don’t even be hitting the way they should if you have to wait for almost 30 minutes for another drink! It would definitely be more enjoyable if either they remove the time you must wait for another drink when betting a high wager or letting the play be more loose if having to wait so long for a drink! Two drinks in a rocks glass when betting a dollar and not having a high payback is just outrageous. I think I’ll be reconsidering being a regular to this establishment, seeing as it’s not so much fun and not very enjoyable anymore! I use to really enjoy coming here, but when you over hear the employees voice their experience on dealing with management in negative ways and then the machines not even having a decent payback, or the players club not beneficial on what they offer! Ultimately, the wait time between drinks when having a high wager is what turns me off from this place!! I would suggest allowing high wager players to get at least a drink way before 20 minutes or allow it to be served in a bigger glass than a rocks glass and have the machines payback decent enough for one to wait for 20 minutes. I used to enjoy this place, but now it’s just becoming a downer in...
