Where the bridge is can be one of the starting points to get on the river (using inflatable tubes, kayaks/canoes, etc). There is a parking lot and can get full quickly in the afternoon and weekend. There is a small bathroom that has a couple stalls on the women's side and can presume that it's similar in size to the men's. There are different trails straight away from the bridge.
Finding a docking point to get down from the bridge and onto the river is challenging because there is no safe path. However, it is manageable with extreme caution. There are several docking spots throughout the river, but you just need to find one. We, on the other hand, carefully went down the slope next to the bridge.
There is one area where many people and their doggies ๐ค gather to swim or simply hang out on the side or wade by the riverbed.
The river has plenty of surprises - most of the time, the river is constantly flowing fast and there are some deep and shallow areas, boulders, and (tree) trunks along the way. Overall, a nice and manageable river to enjoy using any...

Although the terrain was paved and flat, I was able to make it challenging. with the weather as hot as it's been this summer, I was so glad that I was carrying water.
Our plan is to bring a larger group with us next time.
