Huxdotter Coffee — Restaurant in Renton

My wife and I get our morning beverages here almost daily, and I’ve found it to be a great experience for a number of reasons.

The service is quick. While other coffee stands can take several minutes to prepare your drink or have you wait in line for a long time, this Huxdotter stand operates like a NASCAR pitstop in how quickly you’re in and out. This is especially crucial for my morning commute to Bellevue where traffic builds up quickly and every extra minute at a coffee stands adds even more minutes in traffic.

The selection of pastries and food items is great. I alternate between the morning roll croissants and ham & cheese croissants but pretty much everything I’ve tried is delicious. The burritos especially.

The staff is friendly and treats regulars well. I don’t know most of their names but baristas like Ester, Indi and Kayla always have a warm greeting and friendly banter which is welcome both on the way to and from a long...

I have visited this location several times to give them a good chance prior to writing this review and nothing has changed, so I won’t be returning! The girls working have such an attitude problem, acting like it’s an inconvenience for them to take your order and a bit entitled/snobby… which is funny because my drink has been made incorrectly every time I go. I was a barista for 10 years and I would never treat my customers the way I’m treated there.

My drinks are constantly made incorrectly and this past time in went and got my daughter a chocolate milk for her 2nd birthday, they didn’t listen and made it hot and then got irritated when I said she won’t drink it if it’s hot… mind you I had already paid at this point too so no I’m not taking a drink I paid for that will go to waste. I drive by this coffee shop daily & today I thought let me try them out. First impression was the girl at the window had no idea what she was talking about… I asked for a white chocolate/raspberry iced americano topped with heavy cream and she told the girl to put blue raspberry in it… who puts blue raspberry in their coffee?? Anyways.. I left and came back for a remake because it taste like bean water with flavor. Very bitter, & no heavy cream unfortunately when I asked for a remake the girl seemed irritated and told the other girls in the shop “I guess her coffee tasted like the shots were burnt so I’m remaking it”… very bad experience.. I’ll just stick with the other local coffee shops...
