Riverbend Golf Course — Attraction in Riverton

I love this course. It is always in decent shape, the greens are readable and the speed is good. There are plenty of fun holes that are enough of a challenge that the course doesn't feel easy. You can play white tees with newer golfers and the course plays pretty short. The clubhouse is basic, but the cafe has decently priced food for a golf course. There are houses on some holes, but not close enough to be a worry unless you hit a really bad shot(#1 comes to mind with a really bad slice). The only complaints are very slow paced play since a few holes are driveable (especially on the back 9) and the driving range is probably the worst in the valley. Played 18 here today and really enjoyed the round. The course was fun to play and kept things interesting throughout. The greens are in excellent condition—smooth, well-kept, and rolled true, which made putting really enjoyable. The only downside was that some of the tee boxes were a little bumpy and uneven, but it wasn’t a huge issue.

It’s definitely a challenging layout, with narrow fairways that make accuracy off the tee important, but that’s part of what makes it exciting. The course has a good mix of holes that test different parts of your game, and the overall scenery adds to the experience. This is a great golf course for more experienced players. If you are a beginner, or if you do not play well, then this is NOT the course for you. If you are a beginner player you will feel pressure and displeasure from the other players. People who play here do not like people that can not play a great game of golf. And you get paired no matter what time or day you golf here. I have never been able to play a group of two here. That makes it even worse when you play with strangers that play on a different level than you. I have play several times here and each time I have played I have wished I had went anywhere but here.
