I love Roan Mountain State Park. I grew up there. However, it has changed a lot. They closed down the pool which brought in many locals and campers. Children are no longer allowed to play in the creek due to the fact it may disturb a natural habitat. All camping spots have to be reserved now. It is no longer 1st come,1st serve. They no longer have the 4th of July fireworks and events. They also didn't do the Easter Egg hunt this year either. The Park itself is beautiful!! However, miss the things they...
