9/2025 Not as great as last year sadly. Still friendly staff but we had tostados, carne asada and enchilada platter. The chips and bean dip also weren’t as fresh or warm. 9/2024 Woah just woah! 🥰🥰😘 Right before turning into Roan Mountain we found this gem. Great food and super friendly service. Steak nacho with diced tomatoes onions sour cream and right spice . Not too spicy but definitely yum. El combo was big and filling. Definitely worth a try. Avocado salad 🥗 was fresh Horchata to sweet But their free house made chips and bean dip 😋

We were disappointed that Puerto Nuevo was gone but this place seems to be the same food under a different name. No clue as to why they changed the name but everything else seems the same - same food, same building, just a different sign up now. The servers were nice and the ambiance is nice and I am glad we got to sit outside since it was pretty warm out.

Esperaba más de éste lugar, aunque el menú es muy parecido al de Puerto Nuevo, le falta mucho para igualarlo. La mesera fue muy amable y atenta. Pedimos el Molcajete, todo estaba bien excepto la carne de res, estaba un poco dura, pero, para la cantidad de comida, el precio es excelente.

We went to hike the Grassy Ridge Bald and seen this restaurant on the way in. We didn't see many other options so we decided to eat here after our hike and I'm so glad we did. We were definitely hungry and the food was so good. We didn't try the seafood which I regret but everything was seasoned well, the salsa bar had variety, the service was great.

Truly the service was very attentive and very accommodating. No wait at around 5pm on a Saturday. Prices pretty well and definitely worth a visit if you're...

We were so disappointed when Puerto Nuevo closed here, but then cautiously optimistic when we heard a New Mexican spot was opening here. We tried it on a week night, and were seated immediately. The first thing we noticed was the the AC seemed to not be keeping up, which was pretty much the only negative. Otherwise, we found it to be an improvement over the old ownership.
