Roanoke Island Dog Park — Attraction in Roanoke Island

Great dog park! Needed a place to take my 1yo shepherd mix to blow off some steam. This was nearby and I was thoroughly impressed. Nice concrete pad at the entrance and front corner if each side. Also had a plastic chest with tennis balls, frisbees, and other toys for anyone to use. Also had a couple water bowls and kiddie swimming pools next the the farm faucet. Great open field. Probably not great in the middle of summer but right now in the fall it's wonderful. You can tell people take pride in this park, the grounds are clean and well maintained. Just watch the back lower corner for your pupper jumping in the little bit of water that pools in the ditch.

I live in Smithfield, NC. We have a dog park, but this one was amazing!!! I was very impressed with the size of this park. There are three areas, big dogs, little dogs, and a little agility training course. They provide water and poo bags. They also provide seating and some shade for the owners.
