What a awesome place to go for a fun adventure, I had been here 3years" ago on my daughter's 30th birthday, it was a surprise and what a thrill, Kim was in the office and was the most positive, pleasant, awesome woman I had met, it was like visiting a long lost friend, she put my daughter who " was afraid of heights " at ease immediately, and Andy the pilot was great, professional but friendly and informative.. so today, I took my youngest son who is graduating on his Air flight, what a great surprise to see Kim again, sweet and as awesome as before, and to have Andy flying again as great.. even with the slight wind he was in control and handled the flight safely and professionally, as well as great personality and info on the ride.. my son had the best time, and Andy was great about pointing out things of interest on the air tour.. I would highly recommend you check them out, prices are good, and what a way to see the Beautiful Outer Banks, not just for visitors but for locals alike " and a reminder, dont forget to tip your pilot, he definitely deserves it.. looking forward to another trip and a memory to make that won't be forgotten.. til my next visit, here's wishing "Barrier Island Avaition" a...
Read moreI couldn't wait to come leave this review! We had the most amazing time flying in "BigRed" over Outer Banks. This WW2 biplane is equal parts excitement and nostalgia. I'm no history buff, but "Big Red" came off the assembly line a month after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It served as a training plane for WW2 pilots. Andy Rosman, BigRed's current owner, was a phenomenal tour guide and pilot. There is a 400 pound weight limit to ride in Big Red. You are weighed at check in and kept company by Lizzie, the pilot's pup, while waiting on your flight to commence. This has been the highlight of our trip to OBx thus far. It will be hard to top. We flew over an old shipwreck, the Wright Brothers memorial, the coastline, Jockeys Ridge. This is the perfect memorable experience when visiting the birthplace...
Read moreVery good pilot, I grew up in small aircrafts and I have never seen better control of a plane. Crosswind landing and very choppy turbulence, still air pockets and all, he handled the plane superbly and inspired confidence and was also great art spoting animals and quickly pointed them out. We saw sees turtle, Rays, dolphin, and large amounts of migrating birds as well as done of the shipwrecks of the cost. Their merchandise was recently priced and of better quality than other souvenir shirts and hats we picked up along the way. To further describe our flight, one fellow had never been up in a plane and he was worried, but he fell asleep soon after departure. 3 people in our group, all were pleased. Money will spent and amazing views of the...
