This is a small, but wonderful gem! Honoring those who have sailed the Great Lakes and tons of nautical artifacts on display, including the actual bell from the Carl D. Bradley. This is a must stop for anyone with an interest in Great Lakes ships, sailors, or maritime history. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were willing to take time to talk and answer questions. Admission was $5 for an adult and they take cash or card. Thank you for the great experience! I highly recommend GLLMM!

Very interesting museum that showcases the sailors who plied the Great Lakes on the straight decker boats. The manager was very knowledgeable, gave us an interesting introduction to the museum when we arrived. A special exhibit featured the wreck of the Carl Bradley. The museum is a must-read for those who are interested in Great Lakes history. It is located conveniently in downtown Rogers City.

Definitely a moving experience. Much more than what you would expect. An actual freighter captain is there to share his own wonderful experiences. There are tons of detailed models and interesting ship artifacts. There is a memorial room that you will just have to experience for yourself.

We had a delightful time with knowledgeable and experienced docent Mike Horn here today. He taught us a lot. Much to read and learn here. I had no idea how important and valuable great lakes shipping was and is to our way of life. Nor how dangerous a profession it was and is. Be...
