Wow. In my 50 years, I've been to countless Asain food places, and this one is in the top 3 easily. The food is SO GOOD. Nice portion size, good price. But the flavors... the egg drop soup comes out as soon as you put your order in, and I'd say it's the best soup I've had at any Asain food spot. It's more of a cabbage soup than egg drop, but OMG. Make sure to ask for crispy wontons strips for your soup. I ordered the General's chicken, no spice. The chicken breading is light and crispy and eye-poppingly good. My wife ordered a curry dish, T6 Pad Pung Karee I think, and it was phenomenal. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. I was here for lunch and was literally considering ordering some takeout to have for dinner later. Not kidding, we talked about doing it. I've heard from others that the spicy dishes are hot, just a side note.

So I ordered chicken fried rice. It was good. I also ordered the sweet n sour chicken entree which comes with egg drop soup and your choice of fried or steamed rice. There was no egg drop soup. The entree is also supposed to have green peppers, onion, carrots, and pineapple with the sauce. There was 1 pepper slice, 2 onion slices, 2 carrot slices, and no pineapple. Sauce and chicken were very bland. No taste. I will not be going back. And I included a picture of the menu. The menu and the food I actually got were not the same.

Seriously, some of the best egg drop soup out there! We have been going here for many, many years, and it is always consistently good. The buffet is a big hit, but the egg drop is our fav. And a friendly staff to boot! Put this one on the to-do list. And try a carry out and sit by the water and enjoy!

Walked in, nothing saying seat yourself and stood there for a few minutes waiting for the server to say something. Seated ourselves. Took the server literally 10 minutes to come over to ask for drinks. After 5 minutes of waiting to order drinks a group sat down a few tables away and got their orders in before us. Server came over gave us water that looked yellow from the water glass. Asked my husband what he wanted to drink and quickly walked away without asking me what I wanted to drink?? Another 10-minutes of waiting to order food Finally got to ask for my drink without my husband reseving his drink. My husband got the General Chicken with white Rice. He rates it a 6/10 I ordered the Mongolian Chicken. It was a 4/10 good for then but very poor thrown together. Beef stock with chicken and a WHOLE LOT of onions which was alright in the beginning but literally more than meat. Even a half of white onion they gave to me. The place was horribly outdated and the girl serving us had very poor waitstaff knowledge. In a bigger city she probably wouldn't make it a week. Place is probably great if you live there and that's the only option. But definitely would rather go somewhere else next time for a vacation. The soup they served was alright, we both rate it a 5/10 Wait time 1/10 Waitstaff 2/10 Atmosphere...

My parents retired to Cheboygan 7 years ago. My Mom has seriously missed Chinese food, especially Almond Boneless Chicken. We read previous reviews for this place and couldn't find one negative thought, so we drove 45 minutes for an early dinner. We were not disappointed. The food was amazing. The staff were great and friendly. Both parents got the ABC. The chicken was NOT pounded flat and overcooked or dry, but was just thick enough and juicy. Dad said "it was the best Chinese ever. So good!" I had the Chicken with vegetables. Just as yummy! Egg Drop Soup was like no other I had before. Was more like a cabbage soup with some egg in it, but was really tasty. Egg rolls were the best, hands down. Great seasoned flavor inside, not loaded with cabbage, but filled with yummy goodness. Not an overly thick outer wrap either. I usually prefer spring rolls but these egg rolls I would eat again for sure. Parents are excited to make plans for a monthly date night at Chee Pangs in Rogers City! I can't wait til my next vacation up here so I can eat here...
