Such a bummer. I have been using this place for years and been really happy. The last couple times have been awful. Yesterday we waited, what seemed like forever at the pickup. There were at least 15 buses that came by before USPark ever got there. Qwik Park and Airlines Parking had 4 buses each come by before US Park finally arrived. Most had at least three. When they did arrive I asked the bus driver (Sharon T) if they had buses break down or something. I told her Qwik Park had 4 buses come by while we were waiting. She snapped at me “oh your comparing us now”. No, I just wanted to know if there was something extraordinary going on causing them delays. Well I guess she didn’t like my question. She passively aggressively decided to delay our drop off going way out of her way to drop us last. The bus was obviously packed and I get sometimes you get the short straw being dropped last. This time she was just flat punishing me for my question. I was parked in row D. She dropped the first passenger in row G, three rows from my car. She then turned away from my car dropping people in row J,L, etc. etc. After the last drop, as far away from my car as you can get, she turned back around and drove all the way back to my car, three rows from the first drop. It was so clear she was trying to do the equivalent of spitting in my food because she didn’t like me questioning the service. I suggest ANY of the other parking services at DTW. Read moreEvery time I go out and travel for more than a day, I always make sure to go to US Park for my parking needs at the airport.
I've had numerous times where everything had been top notch for the service, and with their airport shuttle, I always tip to make sure to show my appreciation for their service.
The last time that I used US park while returning from another city, I was kinda put off on how long I had to wait for the shuttle. I have never had to wait more than 5ish minutes for a shuttle to come by the ground parking during normal 8am-8pm hours... so when I was coming home from a warmer area, I didn't pop out my jacket, because I knew that I'd be on a shuttle bus in no time.
However, this time... I was proven wrong. A group of us had watched numerous shuttles for other competing companies pass by us more than once... and a rather large group of customers had started to take over the ground transportation loading area, all waiting on the US Park shuttle.
I eventually had to open up my luggage and throw on my jacket, because it was getting rather cold, and even after that we were still sitting there waiting for the US Park shuttle.
25 minutes ended up being the total wait time that most of us had to wait for the shuttle to arrive. And there were some that were left there because the shuttle had gotten filled to capacity.
I had never had this issue before with US Park, but I know if this was to become a common occurrence with them, I might start looking elsewhere to...
Read moreI can’t believe I did it again! My last experience with this company was a nightmare. I figured it was an anomaly and decided to give them another shot. The trip to the airport was pretty straightforward. However, after landing today, I came out of the airport and waited in the shuttle area. I was one of the first in line. I stood and watched several shuttles from competing companies come and go. Finally after 15 minutes a US Park shuttle arrived. There was a long line of us, and the driver pulled to the end of the line to start loading. When they got to me, the driver said “Sorry, we’re full. You’ll have to wait for the next shuttle. It’s right behind me.” I stood where I was, thinking maybe we had lined up in the wrong spot. Ten minutes later, the “right behind me” shuttle arrived. The driver pulled up to the last spot I wanted in, and again started loading from the back of the line. During this time, I saw at least 7 Airlines Parking shuttles and 6 Qwik Park shuttles come and go. They didn’t wait to entirely fill the shuttles either. It appears that they were focusing on their customers’ convenience. Go figure! In addition, my last encounter with this company was nearly identical. Shame on me, I know! Needless to say I won’t be using this service again. I’m not one to usually post negative reviews, but I’m hoping to spare some poor unsuspecting soul the hassle of such an experience.
