Been to Lake Josephine on many occassions under different circumstances, and each time has been the most serene and relaxing experience ever. Although Josephine's in the city with houses along it, you walk out onto the shoreline and feel refreshed and renewed; that feeling that nature gives you when you're somewhere purely natural. The sights you get at sundown are mind-blowing, and the water is pretty clean for being a lake in the city. If that won't satisfy you, small trails line the sides of the lake, there are great places to hammock and picnic, and there's even a Dairy Queen accross the street. Enjoy your visit, you'll definitely come back to...

Beautiful, clean and not over crowded. Sandy Beach area no lifeguard on duty to over regulate rules. BBQ picnic areas, playground, boat launch and fishing docks with plenty of parking and open public bathrooms and changing areas. Pet friendly. Clean lake not weedy and just out of the inner-city. Trails to walk and a great lake for memories to be made! Love the beach here we visit every year all summer long! Some of the best photos of mine taken here! Very friendly atmosphere!...

Great park! They have a beach and a great boat launch. The lake is quite small, and because of that, there is not as much boating pressure. Bathrooms are clean. And they have adequate parking. There is also a fishing pier. You can expect to catch plenty of small fish. This is a great lake to bring young kids in a boat. There is a Dairy Queen right across the street and les than a mile north up the road on Lexington. You can buy anything you might too much to even...
