Well curated museum fullof hyper-local history. If you want to learn about how a coal mining town came to be, this is your stop. David, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable on the history of the town, having spoken directly to descendants of originating families to share their stories. There wasn't a question thrown at him that he could not answer. The kids & parents had a great time! My kids are looking forward to visiting again, which is the best endorsement.

There's a number of Pioneer structures outside of the museum to see...and I'm sure (from peeking inside) the museum itself is stuffed full of history inside. It was closed when I visited this town but I will be back.

The Roslyn Museum is a fantastic spot to explore local history. When my brother-in-law visited, he reminisced about his trips to Cle Elum and Roslyn in the 1970s, believing the area was built on timber. To give him a deeper understanding, I took him to the museum. The museum operates on donations, which adds to its unique charm. Inside, you'll find an array of exhibits showcasing the region's rich history, from its coal mining roots to its diverse cultural heritage. The quirky displays and passionate staff make it a memorable experience. It's definitely worth a visit if you're...

Very interesting museum! Visit if in the area! Especially with children, you could learn a lot and talk about a lot with the children! So many artifacts and toys it amazing! Main focus is coal mining! And it's free!...
